The Nugget Bar & Grill

We live a block away and sit at the bat to have a martini while waiting for our to go order. Food is consistently fine. Last night I had to ask the hostess if the bartender was servicing the far end of the bar. Jeff was casually talking to another guest with. no eye contact or engagement with any other customers save picking up her neighbor's payment. It was literally 10 minutes before he even acknowledged us, then took our order and made three table drinks before finishing ours. I wanted to let management know privately but there's no Contact Us on their website. We'll be back, but if Jeff is working we'll go elsewhere.

The Nugget is a solid local joint. It's not fancy. Enter and there is a bar to your left and table to the right. Plus a healthy-sized patio out back that is a touch close to the freeway, but not bad. Our server today was a super helpful and friendly. He earned the 4th star in this review. He did a great job. As for food there are lots of burgers and sandwiches. I've tried a burger and a french dip, both solid if unspectacular. Eating out is getting expensive and the Nug isn't that cheap anymore. All in, I'll return.

Spent $70+ for 2 orders of the Nugget Center Cut Sirloin, one order was to be medium and the other medium rare. Once I received the orders, the steak was completely charred and defiled. None coming close to medium or medium rare... more like extra well done. I couldn't even bite through the steak and ended up having to throw both away. Would not recommend this place at all.

Outstanding dinner, very nice attentive waitress, full bar and very clean restaurant. Really enjoyed dinner. I had Kent’s special, a hamburger steak patty with mushrooms and onions on top, mashed potatoes with vegetables, it was very good, friend ordered lamb chops and he said they were tasty, very happy with dinner.
