The avogolemono is outstanding. The Greek salad is also super good with unusually delicious red onions. The spanokopita is also very good. We are always pleased with our food here and are happy to support a local, family owned restaurant.
This place is great. The workers are very polite and nice and the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I go there all the time and have never been disappointed.
Always Delicious!. Greek Stop's food is reliably delicious. I've tried a lot of the dishes on their menu over the couple years I have been going to Greek Stop and have never had any issues with the food, but on the contrary, have enjoyed each of them. I would defiantly recommend trying out Greek Stop.
Phenomenal food!. Greek Stop serves up some of the best food in Pittsburgh, hands down! Their gyro meat is cut fresh and is soft and juicy. They have a wide variety of Greek foods that tantalize your taste buds. My wife and I can't get enough of their home made greek dressing and Tzatziki sauce.
We were not big fans of Greek cuisine before we tried Greek Stop. The restaurant is clean and bright. The waitresses and chefs greet you with a smile as soon as you enter. My favorite item is by far the Calamari. They make everything fresh and right in front of you. A classy little joint that far exceeds most eateries.
My only gripe is that the food is a bit pricey. But the freshness and quality is well worth the extra buck.
Best Greek Around and Great for Takeout!. I've been dining at Greek Stop since it first opened, and I've never had a bad meal from here. The gyro's are always fantastic and salads are great too. The greens and other ingredients are always so fresh, and I love the dressing! Another favorite is the hummus, which is my favorite hummus of all time and comes with the best pita bread (I've seriously never had such good pita bread as funny as that may sound). Service is always quick and great too - whether eating in or getting take out. Fantastic choice for a weeknight meal!
Gyro combo was good, very generous portions but price is a little high.
BEST GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH. The food is awsome not into gyros but the lamb burger very good and the best grilled chicken sandwich you will ever eat also try the chipotle mayo
Greek Stop. What a great spot to catch delicious, fresh, and authentic Greek food! Located in the small plaza at the corner of Saxonburg Blvd. & Hart's Run Rd., this is a wonderful alternative to all the standard restaurants in Waterworks. Dining in offers a casual, friendly atmosphere. We saw lots of take-out going on as well. Great variety of dishes, including delicious vegetarian options. Service was swift and caring. We'll be back!
What a great Greek restaurant!! The menu covers almost everything you desire, service is prompt and the staff is always friendly and upbeat. Don't miss the Avgplemono soup, to die for!!
Recently priced out of my lunch budget. We have been going there fairly regularly for over a year. It is always excellent. Very good Greek food. It is a small place that does what they do very well. No one has ever been disappointed.
On our most recent stop, the place was not as busy as usual. When we looked at the new menus, we noticed some fairly hefty price increases. My usual meal went up over 30%!! I understand that prices need to go up, but this was a big jump. They probably succeeded in chasing away a lot of their lunch crowd. At least the quality is the same. I will return, but not as often.

Greek Stop Restaurant. The Greek Stop is located in a convenient strip mall. It reminds me, however, once I walk in, of a small tavern in Greece where the food is warm and comfortable. Real Greek music plays in the background, which I love. It tastes a lot like what my grandmother and mother used to make. I recommend eating in or taking out. To get good Greek food, you don't have to go to a fine restaurant. That's not the way it is in Greece, nor should it be here. Laid back and relaxed, not showy, is the Greek way. The avgolemono soup is wonderful, the gyro (veggie, chicken, or meat) is superb, the pita bread warm and soft/crispy. Go, eat, enjoy.
Delicious!. Great Gyros! Fast takeout and affordable. We get gyros to go at least every two weeks.
If you like gyro's this is a good place to go for them.
Big and meaty. Lots of meat, lettuce tomatoes, onion and sauce. Excellent!

Amazing gyros, loved the domathes, just looked yia yia used to make. Portions were huge. Visiting from Cleveland, will definitely be back on our next trip.
Great gyros. Thay were out of some drinks and lamb burgers. The waitress could have been more attentive since we were the only ones there at the time.
Food is great. I moved out this way from southside where there are a few Greek/gyro places and the Greek Shop blows them out of the water. Check them out if you haven't already
Excellent food! Had a sampler platter, hummus, greek meatballs, grape leaves, spinach pie. Friendly staff too.
Gyro was very good, all fresh ingredients. Meat was cut off the spot when I ordered. Unless you're really hungry only order 1 not 2 like I did.
