Mikado Restaurant

This was a bit of a surprise... but a nice one. Thebkids were happy that they included chopstick helpers ;) the food was beautiful and delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian options that pleased me and both standard and unique options overall! We got to sit in a semi private booth/room area that twas nice, as long as you didn't want hibachi. It was very busy on a Friday night...wish they took reservations. They would only take our name and so then we went next door to have a beer and then came back when called about 30min later.

Not that great at all, was in the area for americade and wanted to enjoy some hibachi. We got seated fast and the sushi was great but the hibachi had no flavor at all! Very disappointed! Server said they forgot our sushi rolls we did get one but they forgot the other one along with the people at the table didn’t get the things they ordered. Wasn’t busy at all not to that it seemed but the waiter seemed over whelmed. I will not return to this place at all! 100 bucks spent and didn’t even eat the hibachi dinner and need to pay for up grade for fried rice! Like what? Soup was water warm with mushrooms in it. Just not happy at all! Like I wish I could of got a refund for the Hibachi dinner 😔😔

Atmosphere is cute, the meat was all over cooked. Which is a shame. Waitress brought out the “mid rare” plate while I waited for my “medium” plate. Would say the chef cooked those in the wrong order. The chicken and steak also seemed very bland, a little soy sauce but mostly just tasted grilled. Apps came and plates were not provided. Waitress did not return for quite a bit so we had ate most of our app by then. Not the end of the world. But over all not remotely impressed, would not return. They might want to dust their ceiling as well.. just saying.
