Hungry Howie's Pizza

I entered the store to pick up two orders to deliver for doordash. I went inside and there was nobody at the counter. There were no other customers in the stote except for myself. I made noise, said hello, and still, no help. I would understand if they were busy and maybe called out to let me know they were aware of my existence, but that was not the case. Eventually another person walked in to pick up an order. He spoke to the employee as if they were long time friends. He simply yelled out upon entering and the employee came right to the front to give him the order. I had stood there being ignored for a good few minutes up until that point. The guy that worked there quickly gave me the orders while chatting it up with his buddy and exited the store as I did to go out front and check out his buddy's new car. He obviously doesn't seem to care for customer service, or his job, really. He wasn't rude to me so directly. Rather his lack of customer service or even caring that I had entered the store was the rude act. The orders were pretty hot and there were no complaints from either customer upon delivering them, so I'm assuming it tasted good and the orders themselves were correct.

I usually love hungry howies but I didnt like how burnt the deep dish was when it was delivered. I called the store, manager said she would trade mine for a new one, and told me the deep dish are always burnt like that so suggested a regular crust like I usually order. Kinda sucks because I had to wait again and never got to try it - besides looking burnt, it looked and smelled amazing. (Yes, I tipped both deliveries.)

Always good BUT don't ever try to order over the phone. We had a credit on our account for some free meals, that the manager of the store told us to call the next time, give our number, and they would repeat the order. First time I called, Benjamin tried transferring us, and the line disconnected. Called back and spoke with Adam. I explained our situation to him, and he just said "Okay, so what do you want to order?" I explain in further detail, and again... "okay, so what did you want to order?" This went on 3 or 4 times before I just gave up and drove to the store instead. Just a really stupid and unfortunate situation, and way more work than it should be for good, affordable pizza.

Our family loves takeout pizza. Surprisingly, this was our first time trying a Hungry Howie's. I ordered us 2 x-large pizzas and 16 buffalo wings. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was hot and everyone thought it was very good quality. I'd say better than most take-out / delivery pizza places we frequent. The total cost of our order was $50 after tip, which is on the higher side of all the different places we frequent. Overall, 4/5 stars. We'll definitely be back.
