Food was fantastic! I ordered the gyro burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! I am just sad I didn’t take a picture of it before I devoured it. My husband had the Italian Beef and loved it. Service was amazing as well. This will definitely be on the rotation, it just reminded us of home in Chicago.

The folks here are very friendly. The food is consistent. Gyro is great. I love their Italian sausage and beef. Great flavor, reasonable price. And like I said friendly and hard working people.

Oh man. I've been living next to this place for the last 7 years and only just now discovered it. I love a good Chicago Italian beef sandwich and Al's nails it! The Chicago dog is perfect. The beef and chicken shawarma is amazing. Very friendly service. I don't have to go to Portillos ever again!

I called in an ordered about 12 minutes before closing and they were super happy I called. I was shocked at how nice they were. When I walked in I was greeted with a big smile and they were just soo genuine. Super happy vibes. And the gyros were 🔥🔥🔥. Get them with grilled onions and cheese 😋. That's how we eat them in the upper Midwest. LOL I love this place and I'll be back forsure. Great customer service ❤️

I absolutely love Al's Gyros! Such good food, and great service. I ordered catering for a party and everyone raved about it. One recommendation for catering - the portions are enormous! After ordering for and feeding 30 people we have about 10 meals we froze for our family of 4 - lucky us!

I’m just moved from Chicago and I’m Middle Eastern. I can honestly say this is hands down amazing food! Everything we order from here is amazing and fresh! I’m glad my family and I have finally found Chicago style and Middle Eastern food made right!

I especially enjoyed the falafel pita with rice. The rice was good, not mushy or dry. I am excited to find good Chicago-style restaurants. They are hard to find in this state. There is a lot more I want to try so I'm sure I will be back.

I’ve never left a bad review for any eating establishment but this place had the worst service. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich and they brought something piled with meat. When I took it back the server/cashier ( I really hope he wasn’t Al) kept cutting me off saying, “No, this is what you ordered”. Even if he was right, which I’m pretty sure he wasn’t, he said I’d have to pay again to get what I’d already ordered. He then took back the order so not only did I not get what I ordered, but I paid for something he threw in the trash!
I then went across the street to Greek Wraps and had a wonderful vegetarian pita served by friendly people.
Now I understand why Al’s only had one customer during lunch hour but Greek Wraps was completely full with a 20 minute wait(it actually only took 5min.).
Al’s has a sign by the register that reads, “great atmosphere“. What a joke.
It’s hard to believe Al’s has 25 5star reviews. Maybe they’re all relatives? Maybe they’re under new ownership?
