Review Mimi's Cafe - Glendale

Very delicious my wife and I enjoyed our food. Tasty delicious and fulfilling.. we will be back. Oh one thing though… we thought this was kind of dangerous.. the portable air conditioner was looking a little hazardous…

We went in for breakfast and ended up eating something totally different. There's so many items on the menu that it's versatile enough for the most picky eater. The atmosphere was very calming and there's a nice outside porch like area for dining during those not so hot moments in Arizona. They do have a bar if you like to sip a lil bit with your food. The mimosa special is premixed however you can order the mimosa with a split which comes with a small bottle of champagne so you can pour your own poison but you also get more mimosas that way. The Irish cream and coffee was served with no sugar and adding sugar made it not so appealing but it did taste good. We ordered the bake brie with a cran-apple relish and walnuts. The relish was great. The cheese not so much. By the time it arrived at our table it was cold and nonspreadable. We tried their 3 course meal for $25. It came with soup or salad, an entree, and dessert of your choice from the ones listed. He got the tomato bisque and I got the French onion. The tomato bisque was flavorful and thick. The French onion was also very good but I could have done without the bread that's served on top. For our entree he chose the jambalaya and I chose the pot roast. The Jambalaya is not the traditional Louisiana style jambalaya you'd expect but it had a little bit of spice and good flavor. It was more like a stew served over a bed of rice or pasta if you choose. The pot roast was delicious. The meat was tender and carrots were soft but not mushy. I did ask if the mashed potatoes were real but I have my doubts after tasting them. None of the food needed more seasoning. The serving size was enough for two people. We both ordered the molten lava cake a la mode. The cake was very bitter and it was served with only one scoop of ice cream which wasn't enough to offset the bitterness of the dark chocolate cake. They could have added some whip cream as well. The service was mediocre and the server had a very dry personality. When trying to express my concerns she just replied, "I'll take it off" and walked away. She also seemed frustrated when I asked about the difference in mimosas cause their menu clearly says they don't come with a split. Overall we had an enjoyable experience and will be back to try the other food they have.

Haven't been to Mimi's in ages.. Wanted to see if it was still as good as I remembered. Ordered the breakfast tacos, cinnamon bun, and Mac N' Cheese.. Breakfast tacos were good and the cinnamon bun was tasty. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the shredded chicken that was on the Mac n' Cheese. Tasted weird and wasn't that good. Everything else was great. Will definitely be back. Service was really good too. Our server was really nice 👍

This place was awesome. I had attended a dinner party there and the atmosphere was great and the place was immaculate. Also, the shrimp pasta dinner and the molten lava cake with ice cream we're both delicious and filling. I will be back.

If your looking for home cooked food this is it. The food was amazing the French Onion soup was the best I’ve had but the service was even better . They were short staffed but the server Claire was nothing short of amazing! Be sure to ask for her you won’t be disappointed! We will be back for sure!

I just went for the first time this morning and usually I don’t write reviews but I just had the best burger I have ever tried. You know that episode from How I Met Your Mother where Marshall goes all over town looking for that one specific burger? This is that burger. I asked to see who the chef was because I wanted them to know it was so good. That’s all I have to say. My server was also really nice! What a great first visit!

Mimi's Cafe was great. I got the Buttermilk Griddlecakes as part of the "Le Grand Style Dishes", scrambled eggs with cheese, and chicken sausage links; first time I've seen pancakes referred to like this. Perhaps something to do with the way they are made, pan - pancakes and griddle - griddlecakes? Anyways, the griddlecakes were super fluffy and the eggs super nice and flavorful. Service was super attentive and gave me a refill on my strawberry lemonade as soon as I finished my first one. Lots of parking as the diner is on the corner lot of the strip mall parking lot.

The food was nice, the coffee was nice too. The service and the atmosphere could be better for the price scale of this restaurant.

My 1st time at Mimi's❗I just went there to get one of they're famous BLUEBERRY CRUMBLE muffins. It's made with sweet vanilla batter baked with blueberries and topped with blueberry crumble. To not to go as usual with a cup of coffee ☕️, I choose a glass of MIMI-MOSA. A champagne split and orange 🍊 juice with a tangerine burst. Very Yummy 😋 Nice and clean Ambience with very friendly waiters❗

This was our second time at this location. The first I didnt leave a review, our experience, well there wasnt any. This time though, it was Great. Tons of parking well lit. Indoor and outdoor seating. It was extremely clean and great music. There menu is meduimed priced. Its a sort of Toggle down menu. So once you learn it very easy. Kid friendly. Lots of rooms and seating. Very nice bar set up. Food is great and comes in a solid time. Highly recommend this place. If there were any negatives. I would like to see them clean the ketchup and tobacco bottles before they go to the next table.

I have not been to this restaurant in more than 10yrs. I was so good now. Today it was yummy good. the waitress was friendly and polite. The muffins were warm and mouth watering. My main course was just as delicious.

Yummy food and great service! Christina was our server and what a doll. Super friendly and went the extra mile whe she found out it was our 42nd wedding anniversary. 2 beautiful blueberry muffins to take home at no charge! Enjoyed Mimi's meatloaf and Chicken parm, delish!

The menu has a great selection. I loved the egg rolls. We celebrated a birthday there and they took a pic of us all together and gave a print of that to the birthday girl.

I haven't been to Mimi's in a long time since they took the one or two out of Las Vegas, NV. So I was thrilled to get my Cobb Salad, Muffin, Onion Soup, and Crumble dessert.
