Food was awesome, served hot & fresh. Loved the chips & salsa, chicken tacos & rice. Only negative was delay in getting seated, as I had to seat myself. One of the wait staff totally ignored my presence - he glanced at me twice & never came to seat me, so after 4 minutes, I seated myself. Enjoyed an happy hour margarita for only $2. Will go back again for cos and salsa!

First time at Popo's! Great experience, great food, and for a very reasonable price! We told our server it was our first time there and she gave us a small sample of their different meat options for no extra cost! I got the steak fajitas and they were fantastic⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great atmosphere both inside and on their patio. They give you generous portions and everything is delicious. Their mini chimichangas are awesome and the fajitas are amazing.

One of the best authentic Mexican meals I've eaten in a long time. Entered to friendly staff and cozy atmosphere to enjoy the best salsa accompanied with crispy chips and sweetest mango margarita. Tacos were huge and delicious with fluffy rice and refried beans. Would definitely go back to try everything on the menu.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, very fast paced and HARD workers. The food was served between 15 minutes dispute it being busy, I got the chicken enchiladas and they were nice and tender, stringy cheese and a spicy, but very enjoyable sauce. 10/10 will come back all the time

My family has been coming to Popo’s for decades. They have two locations in the west valley. Amazingly, the food tastes the same at both locations. With every ounce of objectivity I can muster, this is the best Mexican food in all of Arizona.
Tips: 1) Ask for the “hot sauce” with your chips; 2) My signature order is the red chili burrito, mixed with beans and cheese; 3) The steak fajitas are great too

The food was fantastic. The waiter and waitress were on top of it and did a very good job. The bartender made some wonderful frozen margaritas (I recommend the prickly pear). Bathrooms were well kept, clean and smelled good 👍. I would recommend this place to anybody. We went at lunch time it wasn't too busy, there was enough staff to handle everybody just fine. Chips and salsa were good. I've got nothing bad to say about this place. Fantastic job popos!

We’ve eaten at Popos several times. The ambience is great, whether eating inside or out. The salsa and chips are spot on. This time I had the chicken burrito. The shredded chicken was juicy and flavorful with bits of green chilies mixed in. My husband had the machaca burrito enchilada style and found it delicious. Our drinks (we had soda and lemonade) were refilled promptly. The prices are great.

The service was Impeccable, with two wait staff members waiting on us. Chips and salsa as well as drinks were topped off throughout our visit. Restaurant and lot were clean as well as the restrooms. We prefer the original store, but the Arrowhead store is a close second.

So me and the wife stepped in on a Tuesday afternoon around 2 and the place was somewhat busy and that's a good thing. We sat in the bar area and ordered our meals. The servers were more than patient and gave excellent service and were attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and tip top. I love Mexican restaurants and is my go to for a good meal and I ordered the taco with shredded beef enchilada. I have to say the food tasted absolutely fantastic and delicious. What impressed me most was the portion size, it was stupendous and a reason this place is now my new spot for go to Mexican. I used to be a hardcore Manuel's mexican goer but No Mas... Their portions at Manuel's seem to have become cut down and enchiladas are smaller more and more every time I go. This place is also cheesy and gooey the way I like it.... I am definitely going back everytime,

Always delicious and great service! Our family has been eating here for years and we are always impressed at the level of service and delicious food! Amazing prices for amazing eats! The rice and beans are definitely homemade along with the rest of their delicious menu. Even if you’re feeling like a salad they’ve got you covered and have some delicious homemade dressing to go along with it. Oh and the homemade Salsa is filled with delicious ingredients such as tomatoes onions and cilantro and only has a mild to medium kick. The hot sauce now that’s where the heat is and it’s absolute thick and delicious!

We've been coming to Popo's for years! The service is always great and the food is delicious! When we have visitors in town, this is where we go if they are craving Mexican food.
The attached pictures are from our last visit which was this past Friday. We got there around 6:30pm. The wait to be seated was around 20mins. Which isn't bad for a Friday night. Once we were seated some immediately brought us water, chips and salsa. He also took our drink order. Well we were waiting for our drinks our server came to greet us and confirm our drink order was taken. We order 3 soft drinks and a house margarita on the rocks. Not to long after we placed our order.
The food came out hot and fresh within 15 mins. We ordered a Cheese Crisp with added beans, the Carnitas plate and the Mix & Match with a Cheese Enchilada and a Bean Tostada. Everything was excellent. The portion of carnitas you get is great. We had leftovers that I ate the next day as a burrito. So good!
