My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant! It is our favorite place to eat and has been once a year on our anniversary. With its romantic atmosphere, fantastic dishes and that hot apple cider, with spirits of course, it’s the perfect place to take that special someone. I have to say that the duck every time is amazing. I love how they change the dish every time we go. My wife tries something different every time but I can’t get off the duck and you have to try there appetizers. If you ever see the crab cakes on the menu or the calamari they are both a must have. I can go in for hours but trust me this restaurant you must try. The chefs are very talented and will amaze you EVERY TIME. Let your mouth water with this picture of the last duck dish I had. Maple glazed with clementines cranberries etc. so crispy and delicious 🤤. 											Went here while we were driving through the mountains and WOW we did not expect the food to be so amazing! The flavors are varied and fantastic. We loved all of our food and dessert. Highlights were the steak and smores dessert. 											We had dinner last night for our anniversary meal and it was stupendous! My fiancé had the burger special with parmesan truffle fries, I had the grilled porkchop with a half order of the Cider salad, and we split the charcuterie board. Because it was a little late, we opted for takeout and got dessert to go - which we thoroughly enjoyed back at the inn where we were staying. The donuts, ice cream and caramel sauce were fantastic and I'm certain the plated version is just as wonderful as the container version. Our server Joanne was pleasant, made great recommendations and added to the charm of the whole evening.
Certainly this place may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're willing to get adventurous you won't be disappointed. My partner loved the tomato bacon jam on their burger (normally he doesn't care for such things) and everything on my plate from the pickled peaches to the succotash made of peppers and corn and the smoked tomato gazpacho to the chop itself - was perfect. I will dream of the succotash and tomato gazpacho with the tasty bits of kale and try my best to recreate it at home someday.
We both agreed the cheese and meat board was one of the best we had. Everything had a purpose and there was no wrong combination. The pickled apples (I think that's what they were) with the grain mustard and smoked gouda....amazing! I also loved the blue cheese and bacon stuffed date. Order those carefully because they are very delicious but you might fill up on them! Even the salad was wonderful, with some fresh cracked pepper on top made it better. I loved the salty crunchy shallots mixed with the pecans and julienned green apples. It was truly a tasty experience! Chef Miles and his team are putting out some thoughtful, well rounded dishes that we look forward to trying more of!
One more thing, be sure to order a bottle of Alpine Winery's seasonal cider. I opted for the Jonagold and was not disappointed.

											Want to go someplace special for dinner without the pretense? A comfortable, casual place to enjoy one of the best meals you'll ever have. For a fresh take on salad that you won't soon forget, try the Cider Mill Salad. The flavor is amazing. Several of us tried the Maine Sea Scallops and it was unanimous, best scallop dish ever! And the three of us are Cape Codder's and Mainer's, so we have credentials. The pork chop dinner also got a rave review.
The bartenders are very knowledgeable and the staff was a fun group.
Recent update. I tried the halibut special that came on a bed of veggies, the kicker was variety of sauces surrounding the fish. It was like getting multiple amazing fish dinners in one. The Maine scallops and shrimp dinner were once again a winner. 											Excellent service with fine food and cider. The cider donuts are excellent. We sat outside on a beautiful, clear Fall evening. 											Have dined at WMCC 3 times, and have never been disappointed. Just this past September, I had the soup special, butternut squash with apples and cinnamon. I'm not a soup guy, but this was really special. Had the Pork Chop for my entree which was thick and juicy. On another earlier visit ordered Maine Sea Scallops, with Snap Pea & Bacon Risotto, Pistachio Gremolata, Arugula, Fennel 38. Service was top notch. So delicious. 											My husband, daughter and I loved our entire experience! Our lovely server (I’m sorry, but I forgot her name), made Marie a very special mocktail that she loved and felt very special. 🥰 we loved our drinks and our meals. We cannot wait to go back again. 											The food here is innovative, flavorful, and well prepared. We came in for dinner not too hungry so we shared a number of starters. I was impressed by the creativity and depth of flavor in each dish. The standout dishes for us were the calamari (not your typical boring greasy calamari), the Panzanella salad, truffle fries, and artichoke fritters.
