Fire + Wine

We were a party of six. Came in after the light show at the Morton Arboretum. Ordered drinks and appetizers as we were super hungry after the show. I shorted a star i this review because the Calamari appetizer was quite frankly pathetic. 10 small pieces of Calamari at the most accompanied by deep fried pieces of lemon and Jalapeno pepper slices. $15 for this disappointing appetizer. That said the entrees were incredible. Hot and generous portions. I had the Hangar Steak. A must try! We look forward to returning again. Please make a better effort with the Calamari.

We held a surprise birthday dinner for a friend here and it was absolutely amazing. I had called a few weeks prior and spoke to Alex their event coordinator. I let her know we wanted to do a wine tasting and pairing - she went above and beyond with the delivery, we loved each pairing and wines were great! She curated a small pairing and wine menu for us and told us details about each wine - it was divine! Melissa our server was fabulous she literally made us want for nothing! She was a gem! She was sweet, funny, and knew the menu. When we come back we will definitely be asking for her! I cannot thank the staff at fire + wine enough, you truly helped make our friends birthday so special, thank you!

Laura was an excellent server. Very attentive and knowledgeable about items on the menu. Grilled octopus app. was very good, especially liked the sauce that went with. Cavatelli pasta with sausage and tomatoes was excellent and not heavy. Dessert....pistachio gelato and fired donuts, how can you go wrong. Must go!!! And then go back!!

I would go here weekly if I could. Where to begin? EXCELLENT and imaginative crafted cocktails. Same with the food choices. If you like spicy, DO NOT miss the chicken wings! Uniquely prepared and distinctly not-Buffalo. Just... incredible, but beware the tempting crouton in the bottom... (dont say I didn't warn you) We all got different meals, the special tortellini rocked. Their mussels were fabulous too, lots of garlicky goodness. Service was spot on, and it was packed out. So suggest arriving early or getting on 'wait list'. Cards accepted.
