Really great pizza! The crust is perfect...chewy and bubbly handles. The sauce is slightly tangy and not gross sweet. The flavors were great as well. We were at the beach and watched a family devour a box of their pizza. I started searching and found the pizza they were having. So glad I did! I'm all for flavorful pizza...garlic, basil and a little spice. Excellent!

Great place for take-out pizza. Got the Supreme 12" for 3 people and it was plenty. Toppings were delicious with generous quantities, balanced sauce, and flavorful puffy crust. Would buy again. Staff was friendly and prompt. The comments complaining about the dine-in situation aren't wrong but they're being harsh. There really isn't much of a dining room, no public bathroom, and you can't drink on premises. However, if you just want a great pizza and beer to go, this is an excellent spot.

After reading some of the negative reviews this place has received, I was a bit hesitant to visit, but I’m sure glad we did! We were driving around Leelanau Peninsula for a day of hiking. First stopped in Leland around lunchtime and found *nothing* unless you wanted to wait for an hour to get a sandwich at the Cheese Shanty. We drove on to Glen Arbor with three very hungry kids and needed a place where we could get some good food without having to wait forever to get a table and food. Decided to stop at Bear Paw and found plenty of tables where we could sit immediately, got some cold drinks, and had a hot pizza sitting in front of us 15 minutes later. The pizza was excellent - really hit the spot after striking out finding good, quick food elsewhere. The staff were very friendly as well. If you’re traveling through the area with a car full of hungry kids and need some good food quickly, I would highly recommend.

A little pricey but when we are craving pizza in this area, we ALWAYS go here! Even the crust of the pizza is super delicious! I wouldn't recommend the cheesy bread, too expensive, and you basically get the same thing with your pizza. Service is always fast and friendly when we have been there. Never waited any longer than our "scheduled" pick up time! One of our favorite places!

This place was very unique and we absolutely loved it! It was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had! I will be thinking of this pizza for a very long time!

Everyone should ignore KAREN Hohman with her 15 yard penalty unnecessary roughness review because these people are the kindest people and made a hell of a pie. We totally understood the wait due to the absolute killer of a pie they make.

Pizza was quick and really tasty. Jalapeño bread/pizza was spicy! (In a good way) they were super nice and helpful.

The food was amazing in quality. The seating was outdoors only which was ok since it was a nice day. The day was busy for them and they were very friendly. I wish they had an inside or even back patio option to eat as well. I guess given their seasonal nature that it makes sense to not fix what isn’t broken but it would have been nice to be able to enjoy a beer with the amazing pizza. Good job.

People were nice. Pizza was packed with flavor...we ordered the carnivore (all meat) pizza. There is no describing the pizza style. It’s not New York or Chicago. It’s similar to Papa John’s style with big puffy crust....but the flavor was much much better. The one issue is that it is expensive!!! BUT, this entire little town is expensive as hell.

Awesome food. THE FOOD The pizza is pretty darn good, way better than Jolly Pumpkin. But you absolutely must have the Italian sub, on a Ciabatta roll. This maybe the best sub I have ever had....period. Cheap prices too. THE SERVICE Very friendly and laid back. THE ATMOSPHERE Laid back cabin, with a food counter, a few seats and small grocery area. An excellent resource for families and budget savvy travelers.

July 2021 - family got pizza from them when we stayed at a local cabin. We got cheese pizza for the kids. They loved it and some cheese bread that they also loved. For the adults we got a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was very good and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza was good the next day.

We love the pizza here! They have a few tables near the counter where you can eat in. The pizza is expensive, but I wouldn't necessarily call it overpriced - it's about on par for what we've paid for good quality pizza in other parts of the state. It's one of our go-to eating places when we're in this area.

Great pizza! Order to finish was about 30 minutes, but for 2 pizzas on a summer evening at 530ish with 3 people on staff in the whole store, it was good timing. Staff was friendly & attentive, tables & chairs inside were clean - overall awesome experience!

We had our first experience at Bear Paw. We ordered pizza, bread sticks and salad. It was very delicious. Plenty of toppings and the crust was perfect. Definitely would order there again.
