Mod Pizza

Mods pizza, might be the best pizza place in the twin hickory area! Prices are great, not to mention the quality doesn’t match it (in a a good way). Very nice and clean place better than many places like Pizza Hut and all of that. Have a wide variety of things to chose from. I come here with some friends all the time!

My family and I wanted pizza tonight and decided to try our neighborhood pizza spot MOD. First we were treated awful. The young man that took our orders was rude, impatient and his tone was very unpleasant as if we were bothering him. The whole ordeal was very humiliating and it was only directed as us. The customers before and after us did it not receive the same treatment. He was patient, kind and his tone was pleasant. At that point it became very clear to us how this young man felt about customers that look like us. I was so upset, we left our contact information with the shift lead for the store Manager. The Manager contacted us within an hour of us leaving the store. My husband and I discussed the situation it detail with the Manager. The Manager listened and was very empathetic. We stressed that this should be a teachable moment for this employee/young man and the Manager agreed. We choose to write this review and contact the Manager not only for ourselves but for the next customer like us because no one should have to experience the type of treatment. We appreciate the store Manager reaching out and taking steps to ensure this does not occur again to any customer.

Love the idea of creating your own pizza with so many selections that you normally not able to put on a pizza or not willing to pay for the extra topings. A regular Mod pie is plenty for one person. They also offers, thin crust, deep dish, and gluten free crust made with cauliflower. I like the fact that they have the spicy tomato sauce for the spicy food lovers, it really adds a kick to the pizza. There were about ten type of meat toppings along with six or more type of cheese to enhance the flavor of your pizza. We finished off our pizzas with the grilled broccoli and pesto sauce, they were delicious. The young lady help created our pizzas was extremely nice and patient with our demanding picks. It made us even more hungry watching the pizzas baking in an open fire pizza oven. It didn’t take long before our pizzas was ready and they were baked perfectly!

Not a fan. I love pizza, and I understand that you build your own here. With that said, if you let them build it for you and you tell him what ingredients it's an extremely cheap pizza. I feel like I'm always having to ask them for either more cheese or a topping. I just hate having to ask for every single thing. The service was what I would call poor, they acted like you were really bothering them and there's was only three customers in there. Two pizzas (one mini, one small) and two drinks $22.
