Tortilla Flats

After living most of my life in a small town; my husband & I bought a house in Gladstone not far from this restaurant. We had date night and it just so happened to be here. We loved it! Great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service. Well here we are three years later & we haven't missed too many Wednesday night specials. Shoot we have even thrown a few Saturday night specials in our life 🙃 I especially loved when this super sweet young man named Anthony got to know my husband and I as soon as we walked in. He would say hello....chips 2 mild, 1 hot and an empty bowl? Made me feel like I was back in my small town. Before long it seemed like everyone knew; chips, 2 mild, 1 hot & an empty bowl! Well if you want amazing food, excellent service and a check that doesn't sting, whether you get the amazing specials, dine in or carry out you get the same service, same portions, hot and fantastic food. I would just like to thank all the staff for all that you put into your "job" it is definitely noticed in all areas. I mean I sent a private message through this page to ask if they were still doing the special this evening as I had a late evening and we were starving and I received an immediate response. Even through covid you all still rocked it! Thank you!

We love mom and pop food places. This is Tex Mex and fantastic drinks at a wonderful level. We go at least once a month and we've tried nearly everything on the menu. Great for kids and adults alike. NOT great for "BIG" parties as limited space, but if you want a nice quick lunch in the afternoon with a tasty wide variety of margs to go w/ - stop in there and snag a seat at the bar and let them ladies serve it up!

Fun little place that bucks the Taco Tuesday trend. You'll find their taco special on Mondays, not Tuesdays. Food is good and keeps me coming back. Prices are reasonable. Staff treats me like family, and I don't know why. Decent parking, clean restrooms, full bar. Margaritas are pretty good, too. There is no dedicated motorcycle parking, but not many places actually have that so no points off. Daily specials.

Excellent service at the bar with Danielle ! Margaritas were awesome ! Big draw beer was cold and absolutely fresh keg!! Taco out of this world. Asada taco was also excellent ! We found our new place when we visit Gladstone! Appreciate how attentive the staff was even when we came in 30 min before close !!

Food was great service was not great. My husband and I took our 9 year old and we where seated with three menus. We ordered our drinks and the waitress asked if we where ready to order, we needed more time. There was no kids meals on the menu. When the waitress came back she took our orders. We ordered 3 regular meals since there was no kids menu. Figuring my boy would eat the other half for lunch tomorrow, no big deal. The waitress then came back shortly with a piece of paper and some crayons and asked my son if he wanted to color. He didn't, so it took us a little bit to notice the kids menu on the paper the waitress brought. We ate our meals. My son only ate 1 out of the 4 chicken tenders that he ordered. And we asked for a box and paid our check. After paying our bill we wanted the waitress to know we felt disappointed in the fact she didn't tell us before we ordered that there was a kids menu. The kicker and most upsetting part is she instantly lied to my husband with her response. She told him she did tell us there was a kids menu. Not once did she apologize, just got loud with my husband about how she told us there was a kids menu. We where not trying to contest the bill, nore where we looking to cause a stink. We just wanted to let her know we felt disappointed in that area of our service. Another waitress came into it and my husband asked for a manager, since at this point a scenehas been made, he was told there wasn't one. My husband now refuses to return due to her attitude after the meal towards him and the fact that she just plain lied about what she did.

Came in tonight with my boyfriend and we were greeted nicely and seated immediately by the hostess. Our server came to take our drink order and i was very disappointed to find out that they don’t have a liquor license right now and i couldn’t get a margarita. The disappointment did not stop there, though. Chips and salsa were flavorless—chips were not even salted and no salt shakers were on the table. Then after about 25 minutes of watching our server go back and forth to the tables around us and never stopping back at ours to take our order, we just decided to throw some cash on the table for our sodas and leave. I didn’t have any actual food, but if the salsa was any indication it probably isn’t great. Wouldn’t recommend coming here, especially if this is how it is on a slow Tuesday evening i can’t imagine a busy Saturday.

i’ve driven by tortilla Flats numerous times on my way to work and finally decided to try it. I called in my order for pick up. Ordered 4 crispy beef tacos, 4 shrimp tacos and nachos. Not meals, alacart. I asked what the total was so I could pay over the phone and I was told that I just had to pay when I got there. I was a bit taken aback when I saw the 10% charge for pick up orders. I expect a fee when I have something delivered but not when I pick it up. Food was good. With tax, tip and take out/pick up fee it was $65, for lunch!!! I understand having to raise prices to make up for the past two years but Ia pick up fee seriously? Lesson learned and I won’t be back.
