El Michoacano Restaurant

This place is ridiculous Expensive for the food they serve. Our waitress was nice but she never came back after she brought us our food. We asked a different person for more salsa and brought us a very small container and charged us $2 for each which we didn’t noticed until after we paid. Before that, we asked for some salsa to go and charged us $6 for it. Again, we didn’t noticed. Not only that, but the gratuity was Included in our tab and we didn’t noticed until after we had paid. which is when she brought us the tab.after she had run our credit card. We had already left her a cash tip prior to paying.. not fair at all. This place is a scam. “Tipping is not mandatory in the United States, so there are no laws that govern how much gratuity should be paid. That means it is generally up to you to decide how much of a tip to leave a server at a restaurant”

Me and my boyfriend came from the Asian Buffet next door with rude waitress and I'm so glad we did! The servers were polite and the food was very good. Large portions and fair prices. I recommend the mechelada it comes with 2 oysters, shrimp, fish and shrimp ceviche with Avocado and crackers, along with your beer.

The food was great in my opinion once it all arrived. Our only real complaint here was the drinks. There wasn’t a real drink menu so we both asked for a regular margarita, his on the rocks and mine frozen. His margarita was a lot better, I would never order the frozen one again. The biggest issue however, was when the bill came. These margaritas were $18 each! These didn’t come in the traditional large glass. These were in normal low ball glasses. Truly blown away at that poor value ratio there. That should have very much so been posted. The drinks were more than our food! Go to Monterey and get your drinks from el torito, normal priced margaritas and much better.

This is the first time we come to this restaurant and , chips and water are ok, we ordered our food ( molcajete. But we were waiting and waiting and no plates, no utensils, I have to get them myself, I also ordered a side of French fries that I never got, I ask for a side of fresh mexican cheese and I got like mozzarella instead , not enough employees, and the tables are dirty and nobody clean them for a while. Bad service. First and last time we come here!!!
