After hiking to the Belknap firetower we stopped in to the Gilford Village Store for lunch. We were really impressed with the quality of the food and portion size. The veggies on the cali sandwich were perfectly fresh. Everything in the dessert case looked amazing! The jelly donut cheesecake was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. We will have to find other hikes to do in the area just to have an excuse to stop in again!

We were in Gilford for work and found this absolute gem of a store. The atmosphere is cozy and so inviting. The menu had a bunch of different options, the first day we came (we loved it so much we had to come back for another round) I opted for the Southwest Salad with chicken. It did not disappoint! The chicken was very tender, not dried out at all, and the cilantro vinaigrette added amazing flavor. The second day I went with the Italian Hero on a wrap. The sandwich itself was filling, and had plenty of meat and toppings.
The dining area is probably my favorite part of the store- although it only had a few tables and a bar at the window, the character brings a country home feel to the place, and makes you want to stay for longer than just a lunch.
And last but certainly not least, the staff here is great! Everyone was so nice, and, despite having a large group to feed, were very accommodating.
If you find yourself in the area, I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit! We will definitely be back!

Gilford had a gem with this little store. Adorable store with a surprising wine selection- I was very impressed. Great selection of items to choose from, just what you would expect to see in a country store. However, the food, especially their pizza is outstanding! The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the best in the area. Staff is friendly and accommodating, which was awesome as I ordered 3 large pizzas and 2 flatbreads right before closing. Was able to visit with them and get a tour of the store while I waited.
Delightful surprise to find a broad range of wonderful pastries well made. The made-to order dishes were delicious, fresh, and filling. Good coffee and a variety of interesting groceries at reasonable prices. The staff were pleasant and very helpful, even assisting me too my car with purchases. Worth going out of your way to visit.
We stopped in after hiking Belknap Mountain and we’re so happy we did! The store is so cute, clean and has a great selection of items. We even Found our favorite beer that we never can find in Maine! For lunch we order the Cali and the Spicy turkey they we’re amazing and we will definitely be coming back.
Had our first lunch there yesterday. Great service and good sandwiches and potato salad. We were full and did not get one of the delicious looking desserts! But we will next time. Looking forward to our return visit.
I’m not typically one to post a review, but I had to for this place. It is fantastic! It’s beautiful, with so many great curated items and fantastic food. I got the Sanibel steak sandwich and it was arguably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!
