Was recommended by a friend, so tried it out for the first time. The place was clean and had a friendly staff. The server got our order correct. She was knowledgeable about the dishes. I started out with the hot and sour soup. It did have a good flavor and it was nice and hot. For my main dish, I had pork chow mein with fried rice. The chow mein had a good flavor and well portioned but the rice was bland with no flavor. My wife had Kung Pao chicken. That was also very tasteful and hot. Her rice was the same. The dishes came with a crab puff, and a spring roll. The crab puff too much cream cheese. The spring roll was really good. The prices are fair for the location will come back for seconds.

I lived in the valley for 11 years before finding an EXCELLENT Chinese restaurant like this one. 😍 I just stumbled across this one while getting ice cream and took a peak at their menu. I've come across decent ones and I go to many fast food chains. But it's so hard to find places with orange beef and theirs is amazing. I went ahead and ate inside and very glad that I did. I was seated near a big party with some rowdy children. (I'm NOT shaming the parents by ANY means, as I live with ADHD and behaved much worse than those lovely kids. They might have not had the chance to burn off steam since it's been so hot here in the valley, so it's difficult for them to run around outside). The servers showed the party so much kindness, grace and understanding. I found that very admirable because I was once a child who had a hard time sitting still in public places. They were super kind. The service was also very fast. And the food was AMAZING. I'm just about to call a family member who is visiting next week to rave about this place.

Ok, so where do I start. We decided to try another Chinese Restaurant in the valley we haven't been to. We tried at least a dozen in the valley and this is one of the top of our list. We decide how good a Chinese place based on how good their chicken and brocolli, orange chicken and fried rice are made. These are the staple and always order these whenever we try new place. Orange chicken is one of the best we tried, most OC we had are tangy and sour, where it's overpowering the overall flavor. The one here is just enough orange zest and not too sweet. Really really good! Chicken and brocolli is good but not the best we've had. We prefer not to have mushroom with it. In all of the place we've been to, this is the only place who puts mushroom in Chicken and brocolli. Fried rice is really good! My daughter's favorite! Lots of shrimp, eggs and chicken slices. It's also very flavorful! Serving is a plenty! For one order, it can serve 4 people with much leftover following day. We still have at least half left in each. Customer service is good too. We ordered through the phone and paid when we pick up. It was ready when we got there. They even gave us donuts on the side. Bottomline: Yes! we recommend this place and yes we will come back again!

Yao's is wonderful. They are usually not too busy so you get seated quickly. The food came out fast tonight. Also I think they have the best hot and sour soup of any Chinese restaurant I've been to.

Was driving by on way to a different chinese restaurant & saw Yao Chinese Restaurant, decided to stop and try it. Delicious & tasty food! So many selections to choose from. Great service, friendly staff. ADA friendly. Very clean restaurant. I had the Kung Pao chicken, spring roll & crab puff. My son had chicken fried rice. Our meals came out quick and was nice and hot (temperature wise). Definitely will come back regularly.

This is a pretty good Chinese food restaurant. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious and the combo fried rice was very good. Portion sizes and prices are fair. I would definitely come back.

This is one of my personal favorite Chinese restaurants in all of AZ! Staff is nice, restrooms and restaurant are always kept clean. Love the atmosphere and of course the food! Some of my favorites are the teriyaki chicken, won ton soup and the orange chicken! Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for great Chinese food!

Fresh, hand made, tasty, Chinese food. Every dish in the restaurant is freshly prepared and made daily. I was particularly impressed in the honey walnut shrimp, normally it's rare to find quality shrimp in Arizona, this fresh peeled, hand battered, jumbo shrimp dish beats it's sea side competitors. The chicken lettuce wraps were well seasoned and aromatic, making a pleasant and fulfilling appetizer. They had the most composed and fresh fried rice I've ever tasted. The steamed chicken & vegetables is a rare combination of both healthy and tasty. Service is attentive and top knotch.Highly recommend visiting this place.

This place is great! We used to have a favorite Chinese restaurant called Wong's Place, but ever since that closed years ago we haven't been able to find something similar. This place is it! The salt & pepper pork chop and sizzling rice soup are made exactly the way we've been looking for, but couldn't find anywhere else. The food is good, the servers are really friendly, and the atmosphere gives us that comforting vibe we used to get from Wong's. Will definitely be making this our new go-to spot, and will be taking family and friends here! :)
