This is an excellent dining option in downtown Gilbert. Romeo's is one of the first, if not the first fine dining restaurants in this area. Fine because of its elaborate food, not because its atmosphere is fancy (it is not). It's relaxed and makes you feel like you are in an European cafe or cantina. The food is Mediterranean in its core and full of flavor.
We decided to try this place after reading an article on FB ,top 15 restaurants in Arizona. It was about a 40 min wait for 3 people so next time we will definitely make a reservation but it was absolutely worth it and worth the 20 min drive! We will definitely be back!

Romeo's is a wonderful place to have dinner and sit and converse. The wine list is extensive as is the menu. I have been going here for years. I try to go at least twice a year. The menu is decadent and very rich as it is the desserts
I absolutely love this place. I can’t recommend anything except the baked chicken ziti because it’s my favorite and the only thing I order! My husband tries something new every time and hasn’t been disappointed. Their side salad needs some work so try a soup.
Amazing menu! The service was excellent and the food..... superb. The waiter is knowledgeable about every item on the menu and the dessert was decedent.☆☆☆☆☆
Truly good food with a friendly atmosphere and enormous menu! Have eaten here many times and never been disappointed with the meal or service.
I live in northern nevada, Everytime I go visit my sister in Gilbert we go to Romeos, sometimes twice. By far my favorite place to eat. Wonderful food, wine, atmosphere, service, and owners that treat you like family!
Delicious dishes and delightful desserts well served in a quaint, bistro type setting.
Food was wonderful. Wait staff was excellent! Couldn’t be happier!
Love this place. Mediterranean and Italian mix. Fresh food that's definitely made to order. Rich flavors. Complex. The salad with dinner was so crispy and fresh. The wine menu is extensive and the atmosphere is intimate and airy. The desserts are patisserie style and sumptuous. This place is definitely worth the visit. Will be back again. Such an extensive menu. The waitress was amazing.
Really nice atmosphere, food tasty with large portions. I had the Salmon Lascala...spicey! The Goat Shrimp was so tastey....service was great, her recommendations was spot on right down to the wine and dessert.
This was our first visit and we are so glad we went. There were four of us and we each commented many times on how much we enjoyed it. Portions are generous and three of us needed take home boxes. I thought I would need one too but my tortellini Gianni was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Romeo's has serious potential to be our new favorite restaurant.
First time here. They have a very robust menu with many options. We had a pepper steak pita sandwich and one of their many delicious salads for lunch. Everything tasted fresh with lots of flavor. The dressing on my salad was a perfect balance between the ingredients (I usually do salad dressing on the side as I don't want my salad to be one flavor). The portions were very generous for lunchtime. We had to purchase the desserts for takeaway to have later. They have an amazing selection of desserts to view when you walk in. We are looking forward to coming back for a complete dinner.
Friendly with great food. A little cramped but not a lot of room to work with. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. Also have a great little bakery for just picking up some sweets to go.
This is an amazing secret. The food was outstanding. I'm in town for a little bit and had lunch with a friend that works up the street, and evey bite was absolutely perfection
Amazing food and sexy desserts. Any item on this menu is cooked with love and respect for the ingredients. ....Romeo makes his appearance in dining room from time to time. Wait staff knowledgeable on what wines should go with each dish. Once you have eaten your meal you must order dessert ( I take mine home, too full). The desserts are sweet, rich and oh such a great finisher. Always an amazing meal and experience.
I was amazed at the intimate ambiance of the cafe. The service is every bit as good as the food, which was phenomenal! My server Laura had the table she was taking care of, yet she took time to just talk to me about the cafe, its history, and owners. She treated me as a friend and it made my experience all the better. The house salad and dressing were excellent and the paella was superb. I didn't have room for anything else, this time. I'll definitely be going back!
Enjoyed dinner there with family Friday night. We were served by a wonderful waitress named Paige, who had a great
knowledge of the menu and made terrific recommendations! Some of us are more adventurous in our food choices than others, but everyone had terrific food and were thoroughly satisfied and took some home. My only recommendation would be to make sure you save room for dessert, which we unfortunately had not done, because because my experience in the past is that their desserts are all outstanding just like the Rest of the menu.
Delightful atmosphere, wonderful service, Devine food…Kudos to the chef! Great value for what we ordered.
We will be back!
Been twice and will continue to visit. Highly recommend for the vast, unique menu of delicious items. The service is also top notch. The only thing I would recommend changing is the seating. The chairs aren't very comfortable, but we hardly noticed due to the overall fantastic experience.
The Mediterranean salad and the tomato base sausage and white bean soup. Both very tasty! Also, a sugar-free coconut latte. Yummy!
The service was pretty good, and the food was of the best quality! No substitutions are allowed at all. That was not a big deal to me though.
I definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely love Romeo and his food. Stuffed shells and cheesecake. Outstanding meal and drinks with friends. Wait staff are always knowledgeable about what wines go with what. It is a must see in Gilbert.
I love this restaurant.
We all had gyros. They weren't as good as they usually were.
Maybe different chef?
Dessert was amazing as usual.
We will be back. I hope it was just an off night in the kitchen.
The menu is extensive, so check it out online, to get an idea of what you might like to eat. It was our first time eating there, we went with friends. You will be there a while, but with friends and family it's quality time.
I will go back!
Very cute products at entrance. I was impressed with the welcome as I browsed. Food and drink specials there seem worth it. Will be returning to take advantage of the Thursday special.
Adorable little cafe with incredible, fresh food and friendly service. I will absolutely be back to try more items on their huge, diverse menu.
Tried this place for the first time today with my husband and son, and it was delicious! My son got the gyro and a banana soda, my husband got the Balsamic shrimp with a salad, and I got a Salmon dish with lentil soup. It was all really good. The best part is that Noah, the host/greeter and Mckay, the waitress, were AMAZING! They were both cheerful, professional, helpful, and a joy to speak with. We will definitely go back!
