Visited for the first time on a recent Friday at 7pm. I really enjoyed my salmon dish with Parmesan risotto and sun-dried tomato cream sauce. Great flavors, cooked well. My man enjoyed his fillet steak it was quality and cooked perfectly. Another guest in the party has over cooked scallops paired with a tasty crab slaw. Another had the rabbit special but wasn't impressed. I enjoyed my dish, but a few things about the service and vibe rubbed them the rest of the table the wrong way. Classic country club vibe in the space. Beautiful outdoor patio covered with string lights. But the wait staff didn't match the decor, appearance was noticeably a bit sloopy across the group. Restaurant was less than half full. Heard this spot used to be vibrant and high end. Hoping this place gets the passion & customers back!

Excellent lunch with friends! Wonderful menu selections for all palates. We shared the fried zucchini, which was great. Crispy, not greasy with a nice marinara on the side. I have the blackened fish tacos which were very fresh and spicy. Sweet potato fries were a perfect accompaniment. Others at the table had entree salads which were excellent as well as the chicken pot pie filled with lots of breast meat. Pies and billionaires bar for dessert. All plenty big to share. Service was perfect, very attentive but not annoying so. Will be back soon!

This restaurant is a classy restaurant with good quality menu options . I like that you can dress up and sit in the dining room, or go a little more casual and sit on the patio or bar area. I think that the food is great quality, but maybe a tad pricey for some options. I did like the dinner and drink menu, the atmosphere, and the history of the restaurant cards they have on the table. I'll go back for sure, and hope to enjoy the patio, lights and music next time!

Absolutely Exquisite food. Staff is courteous and professional. They did do some remodeling to their dining room. One side looks casual while the other side is more formal. It used to be just on the formal side, linen napkins tablecloths Etc. The non-formal side has bear tables pull up chairs does not look as good as it used to. We sat on the patio. Absolutely beautiful. The food makes everything else pale in comparison. A must-try

I never thought I would write less than a 5 star review for the Pines. They have been consistently above average in all the years I've enjoyed dining there. But this last visit can only be described as disappointing. The coating on the fish was soggy (fish on a dish) and the fries limp. I don't know why they changed their roll basket to some kind of bland bread, but I hope they change it back (my sister said it tastes like the communion bread from our Grandfather's church). My mother's berry pie was cold (not room temperature, but actually refrigerator cold). The Hummingbird Cake (one of my favorite moist cakes) was very dry and tasteless. I went with four stars because the other diners in my party were happy with their meals for the most part, but overall it was not a good experience.

What a surprise! A really good lunch in Gibsonia PA! Despite the tavern designation, this is a white tablecloth restaurant with prices to match, though it does have a small pub room that is more casual. It is not fast casual. Service was leisurely on a Wednesday between Christmas and New Years, but food was excellent. We may have been the only patrons under 70. It pulls in the (elderly) ladies who lunch. Good place for a business lunch I would say. Not a great place for little kids. Service too slow, and refined atmosphere requires reliably good manners. Reservations recommended. It is a famous and popular spot.

A truly amazing dinner, The food was just incredible, wines were Amazing and very well paired with Food choices. The staff and the management for this restaurant were Incredibly well prepared, Welcoming and friendly... We called for a special occasion with family from Norway. This has been our go to restaurant and we have enjoyed the food. The hostess was attentive and nice and gave us a beautiful table. The waitress was also helpful and attentive. The food however was poor at best. We had 5 orders of pork chops that were dry and one was insufficiently cooked. Another meal was the chicken pot pie that was like a cream soup with a puffed topping that just fell off. The last meal was a pasta dish where the amount of pasta did not even fill the plate. We did not discuss this while we were there because we did not want to make our guests feel uncomfortable. This was the only dinner out that they had while in Pittsburgh. It was not up to the standards of the Pines restaurant that we know. We may not return if this is the level of quality now.
