First off... The staff here is wonderful... Great food an drink can be killed by bad service and that is NOT the case. As we have dietary restrictions in our party, ordering can be a pain... They made it a pleasure. All the food we had... From vegetarian cheese arepas and a standard brontosaurus burger to a vegan version of the same to a gluten free & vegan modifications were delicious! An we could only on for pages about their house made nitro coffee! Heaven in a frosty cup! If we loved here I would be a regular, staking out a comfy chair as m home away from home!

I spent countless hours at this coffee shop, and now I can't find anything else like it. I'm considering moving back to Gettysburg just so I can have the Ugly Mug be part of my daily routine. Also, get the "zak" sandwich...10/10 would recommend ;)

Absolutely love this cafe, my boyfriend and I visit 2 or more times a week.. It may or may not be the foundation of our relationship. (; The coffee is amazing and the food is phenomenal, easily made vegan friendly. 100% recommend.

One of the few breakfast places in Gettysburg and by far the best! Wish they offered more pastry/baked options. Drinks and food are great, my go-to is the Jersey Breakfast on an arepa. If you've never had an arepa before, try it you won't be disappointed!

Great place to eat, drink, chill. Where else to enjoy an arepa in Gettysburg, PA?

Had a wonderful cup of coconut flavored coffee! Alyson Yetsko, one of the owners made us feel very welcome! She shared the history of the company and her cheerful attitude was contagious! They had an excellent menu full of sandwiches and snacks sure to please even the most picky palate! I plan to return again very soon!

We've been here several times when we pass through Gettysburg. They have an interesting & unique menu definitely worth trying. The staff is friendly & personable & the espresso is good! Wide selection of syrups and they offer soy & almond milk, in addition to regular.

Started out with a not so great experience but the owner was very kind and accommodating. It was much appreciated, thank you.

Stopped in to get a caffeine fix during my lunch break and asked them what they suggested. I was pleasantly surprised when the barista didn't suggest some sugar filled latte but suggested a uniquely brewed cup of their own roasted beans. It was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had and the staff was outstanding.

One of my favorite places to visit all through college, and even now years later when I come back to visit the owners remember me and are always so great and friendly. The coffee is solid, and the arepas are delicous

It is raining in the morning. Not easy to find the place to open and no long line in the weather like this. The Ugly Mug cafe is a hipster place in the area. There is a parking near by and self service order and coffee. After order you can just seat yourself to any table that empty. The staff serve food to your table and this is only time they service you. Anything else you serve yourself. I actually okay with it because you don't have to wait for anything.

The Ugly Mug Cafe was adorable, the art they had in there was so cool, the staff was nice and was patient when we didnt know what to order. They even brought the food out, the music they played was good too.

Really interesting place that doesn’t look like much on the outside, and the inside is an amalgam of various hipster and bohemian themes. I ordered an iced dark chocolate mocha and it was delightful. Really nice chocolate tone to balance the strong coffee, with real whipped cream on top. The grilled chicken wrap was rather ordinary and the coleslaw was good but a bit too runny. Overall, not bad for a $9 sandwich. I’d definitely come back for the coffee, though.

This small corner cafe is cozy with some good eats. It has a college vibe because of all the college kids that come since the college is right down the street. The white mocha iced coffee is delicious and the breakfast sandwiches are nice and healthy tasting. You can just come here to get some coffee and relax. They have plenty of drink options.

Such a cute small town independent cafe. We got a large cappuccino (which was the size of my entire head) and a couple of avocado breakfast wraps. The wraps were good and the cappuccino was excellent. I definitely recommend this place for your trip to Gettysburg 👍🏼

Great coffee, I had an Arepas ,( white corn flour venezuelan bread) with cheese, onions, mayo, egg and bacon. + Iced Carlisle, both fantastic. speedy and friendly service. Espresso is good here , normally I don't add sugar to coffee , however just the right amount of sweetness in the Carlisle.

Super cute local spot. They've got some great mugs to look at while you wait for your food! The bagels are nice and soft, and the dark chocolate mocha was the perfect fall warm me up. My friend got a caramel latte and she said it was delightful!
