Was in town for anniversary and valentines day. Wife placed reservations here. I was not dissapointed. My wife said "you never enjoy a meal this much!". Presentation and flavor were excellent.

Delicious Maryland crab soup, tonato based broth. Crab cakes were very generously sized with lots of lump crab, very little filler. Servers very friendly and knowledgeable. Willing to customize things to avoid dairy. Lovely dining room overlooking Lincoln Square. Located in the historic Gettysburg Hotel.

This place has the most amazing vegetable stuffed mushrooms with herb cheese on a parsnip puree sauce, drizzled with I don't know what. Looked like chocolate but we ate it so fast I couldn't catch what it was as we were late for our ghost tour. And as a self proclaimed chef myself, I know stuffed mushrooms. These were incredible. We also had the Risotto balls and they were crisp on the outside yet light and airy inside. This place has great outdoor seating and the waitresses were great. The service was fantastic so we returned the next night when we had more time. The waitress remembered us, which adds a personal touch and shows how attentive they are to their customers. The second night did not disappoint. My daughter had the Linguine Bolognaise with veal, beef, pork and roasted tomato. I think it was the only time she stopped talking during our entire trip was to eat this meal. I had the Crab stuffed scallops with mashed potatoes and shrimp succotash. Since scallops are my favorite and I know how to cook them, I often order them just to gauge how good the chef is. This chef is top notch. I take these trips to find new recipes and see how other chefs prepare their meals. It's only fair that if I'm testing them, I give them my fair opinion. This is the only restaurant on our trip that gets a five star rating. The food and the service were fantastic.

We want to love this place, but there's always something that's not quite right. We wanted to sit at a high-top in the bar and have dinner, but the bartender told us she was "just the emergency bartender" and we'd have to eat dinner in the restaurant's table section. The same waitstaff could have just served us where we were, it's only a few feet from the table section. When the usual bartender (Terry) is there, things are always better.

We were ignored by the hostess first 5 minutes there. She walked past ignoring us. When she finally did acknowledge us said she HAD to clean 2 tables. Mind you about 15 were empty and only 3 tables had people eating. Another family comes in behind us so now she finally seats us. NOT at one of the tables she had to clean mind you. Then she sends the waitress to the table of people who came in after us! Obviously they did not care to serve us so we left. When I complained to the Gettysburg Hotel where we stayed they were very upset that the restaurant they are associated with treated us like this. They were NOT busy nor understaffed. She had something against us and for that reason I won't give them a second chance. Heard lots of complaints about the service and food so probably better we left.

Don't order the shrimp cocktail. Definitely order the crab cake - best one I've had yet.

The food was OK (Brussel Sprouts were delicious). However, the service was awful: the server couldn't open the wine (I did), the wine glasses were dirty, the white wine warm, and the main course arrived as I was still eating my appetizer.

We had lunch there while staying at the hotel the food was very good fast and fresh and our waitress was very friendly and even reminded me about a discount I could get. Definitely worth it if you're in town.
