Great old place with plenty of character and atmosphere! They have ample parking! Had reservations seated quickly even though we were early! The food was outstanding! Service was good server friendly and helpful quick and professional! Very good meal and time here! Sorry not to many photos of food! The carrots very good!

We had an early dinner here in the tavern. We both had the daily special “Beef Stroganoff”. It was DELICIOUS!!! It’s a very cute, quaint old tavern. Friends went yesterday. They had a 1-hour wait to be seated and that and the slow service caused them to have a 2 ½ hour lunch. WE were seated in about 10 minutes and didn’t have slow service at all. We liked the place and I would recommend it. Cute, fun, and terrific food!

This restaurant was recommended by a coworker in historic Gettysburg. We had the roast beef sandwiches on Focacia bread. Sadly, I wasn't overly impressed with the sandwiches. The beef was good but not super tender. The dining room was a bit too dark. Prices were reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. There is also a bar that serves mixed drinks and beer. I was more impressed with the historical background of the restaurant building. As the story goes, Mr. Dobbins housed black slaves in a room on the second floor, as part of the Underground Railroad to protect and free the slaves. There is small museum upstairs memorializing this important part of American history.

What an incredible experience! I visited the Dobbin House Tavern with a large group for an 8th grade field trip. The food was very delicious! Every bite of something new was followed with comments of how good each item was! The service was stellar and the staff were all so helpful and accommodating. They even helped my son try to find his lost wallet. We then went on a very short tour and saw where the Dobbin family lived and helped hide fleeing slaves for the Underground Railroad. The Dobbin family did wonderful things!

Dobbin House has a great atmosphere and really good food! Our server, Nikki, was top notch! Even though the restaurant was busy and she was moving non stop, she made sure we had everything we needed and had a great personality. Make sure you go upstairs after your meal. There is a small museum that shows where slaves were hidden during the Underground Railroad. Fantastic piece of history!

Oldest house in Gettysburg! Part of the Underground Railroad, so you can see a hidden space where slaves would hide. Cute gift shop. Food was delicious! No leftovers! Drink specials were good too! Definitely a must.

Oh my goodness. I can't even begin to describe the experience here! It was 5 atar all around!!! From the scenery, to the attentive staff, and even the beautiful gift shop. The food was out of this world and the drinks were worth every dime. I am so grateful I came here and made a beautiful memory with my family.

The crab dip appetizer will make you want to lick the plate! The onion & beef soup was also amazing- my husband is still talking about it today. I ordered the split chicken which was very good and my husband ordered the turkey reuben (delish)! The only things that were disappointing were the desserts (apple pie crust was dry/bland and the brownie sundae was just okay). Overall, we would recommend the place because we would definitely come back!
