Delicious!. El Chapultepec is the bees knees. The fajitas are outstanding, awesome magaritas, and the atmosphere is great. Mariachi band on Tuesdays and Fridays. I go here every week- my server is the best. His name is Rob. :) Ask for him on your next visit. chicharos
Always good. One of my favorite places to eat..the steak burrito is the best. Service is always quick and the food comes out fresh.

Wild Mushroom Quesadilla. I was beginning to second-guess myself after reading the other review and seeing the low percent of "like" votes . . . However, I recently visited El Chapultepec and had an absolutely delicious wild mushroom quesadilla. I thought the chips, salsa, and cheese dip were on par with other Tex-Mex places, but that quesadilla was probably the best quesadilla I've ever eaten. I also thought the atmosphere was pleasant and service reasonable. I definitely plan to return.
Gave it another try and dinner was better than lunch. I ordered for take out. When I got home and opened the containers, there was a bountiful amount of food. I order for one, but 2-3 people could have eaten and be pleasantly satisfied. The quality was much better as well.
Food was great! Salsa is some of the best I've had. Service was extremely slow, and I was the only person in the restaurant. I finally had to flag down someone to bring me my check. Five stars for the food, but 3 for the service.

I like this place. Real Mexican food is hard to find in Memphis. Prices are high for what you get, but they are in a very high rent building, So I understand why . Live music is played on Friday night and Saturday night. Jimmy Buffett meets calypso is the only way I can describe it. The high prices are the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars.
