Hungry Hollow Smokehouse And Grille

Food was barely average, inflated reviews. Pulled pork was dry with no taste. My wife's burger was also plain and dry. Fries weren't good. Won't be back. Older lady (who may be the owner) asked us to put on a mask as she had hers under her chin the entire time we were ordering and eating, talked under her breath to my wife and then when I came back from the bathroom she was nice and pleasant to me. Weird.

My partner ordered the hush puppies as a side, I had the Mac and cheese. Both were good. The hush puppies are similar to a deep fried donut/timbits in texture. I got the pulled pork sandwich with coselaw added on; also came with fries which sees fresh cut. Would recommend dining in as it doesn't preserve as well with take out (especially in the winter when the food can't hold its heat). They have plenty of sauce options at a condiments station when you done in, but you can also ask for a container if you're doing take out and want to add the sauce when you get home

Went to Hungry Hollow on a whim. Was out for a joyride and became hungry. Having been to many many barbeque joints in my day, I figured I know a thing or two about good barbeque. The place actually smokes their meat. NOT "liquid smoke". The staff were polite and helpful, the menu was vast with MANY great options. The prices were reasonable by any standards given the generosity of the portions and the quality of their product. We had Brisket and Pork Poutine and a sandwich. They were both phenomenal. We were entertained by the owner, Mike Parsons who treated us, and pretty much anyone else who walked by, as though we were family. We will absolutely be back!!!! Thanks Mike!
