Gold Star Chili

Lets start with ive came here for 14 years. Nothing is ever on point. they can't post the correct times of service they close lobby with people in it. They are kinda rude. Slow services as well. Sometimes not to good of a taste. I just can't seem to understand. Door says 10 to 10 has for years but dont add up.

Absolutely atrocious. We should have left before it got to this. There were only two tables occupied when we got here. So we thought it would be quick. Wrong. 10 minutes before we were even greeted to take our order. Nearly 15 minutes to get our drinks. Again. Only two tables besides us. 38 minutes and counting. Still don't have our food.And now we're the only take left. 45 minutes. Got our food, and it wasn't hot. We will never be back. We made a mistake. Sorry I had to give it 1 star.

The food and service is excellent but the prices are a bit insane for a small cheese dog. We often won't buy a drink because the total is fairly absurd. It seems there should be some kind of discount for a meal if buying say 3 cheese coneys. With gas prices and everything going up, I don't see the business model surviving for the long term. The one in our town has been rather empty compared to how it was pre pandemic. I hope they don't let inflation take out a good business model. We enjoy the food a lot but there are many other options so we hope they will be more competitive in the future.

I'd seen this little restaurant two and a half years ago, the last time we came to the Ark Encounter, and I had been yearning to try it ever since. I finally got to, our last day in the area, and it was delightful! My brother and I tried the chili spaghetti, and it was delicious! It had a really good flavor, and even a little spice, making it really enjoyable to eat! I hope I get to come back on our next trip, I want another bowl of that chili spaghetti!
