La Antigua Mexican Restaurant

I ordered the Georgetown special to go Thursday around 2:30 PM EST. When I got home I was surprised to see that it was rice and queso mixed with a very small amount of chicken thrown on top. I called them back and gave them my number and was told they were too busy right now, but they would reach back out to me. By 9:30 PM I hadn’t heard back so I reached back out. I was told that was the lunch portion, even though I was charged for the dinner portion, and they wouldn’t replace the meal, only give me $2 off of my next visit. There will not be a next visit. There are too many Mexican restaurants in Georgetown to have to deal with this poor of service. I know this won’t stop many people from eating here, but you’ve been warned, and look at the high percentage of 1-star reviews. I unfortunately didn’t, and I am not out $12. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!

They have delicious food but I had to wait almost an hour to get my food. I placed an order to go and went over to a store to wait because it was very crowded. When I came back at the time it was supposed to be ready, they said they hadn't written down all my order. They were very apologetic. After another 20 minutes, they kept assuring me it was almost done. Numerous people had come in, sat down, got their food and a few had even left since I first arrived. Finally, my order came out and they offered me 10% off my meal or free cheese and I took the 10% because I had ordered cheese. I got home and the food was delicious, however, I should've taken the cheese seeing as how it was evidently something else they hadn't remembered to put down! Oh, well. Life goes on.

Recent July 2021 visit and they've fallen off a ton since the shutdowns, probably won't be back... Service is normally good, food is above average for being in Georgetown, Kentucky... Drinks are good and not overpriced, get the big house margarita on the rocks and tell them make it "fuerte"... Good to go 😉
