I have been going here for my whole life, and my dads family went his entire life, basically from their opening year. The food is always fantastic and the people are great! They make their own beer cheese and beer cheese spread, SO good! The Reuben is the best one you’ll ever have. The Hofbrauhaus is a MUST any time we are in Gatlinburg, and that is fairly often! So wonderful!

I will this this place dearly. One of my favorite places to visit during my work breaks or just to pick up some actual good beer to take home for the night. The people here are amazing and wonderful. All of the food was top tier and the stuff they sold downstairs was amazing to find as well. It makes me genuinely sad and upset that this place won't be here anymore. Now the celtic pub is the place to go for good beer and the pub is absolutely top tier, but for german specific beer and imports it was the only place to go. I hope the family and workers for here are doing great and I'll forever miss the best sauerkraut I've ever had in my life, and I've been to Germany. Love this place. Will miss it as long as I live here in gatlinburg

This place has great pretzels!! Comes nice and warm with a beer cheese that’s strong but delicious! Super soft and delicious. Costed about $6. The shop also has a huge variety of cheeses, crackers, and every time of jam you could imagine.

Fabulous German-American deli located on 2nd floor. The food was scrumptious and made fresh. Minimal selections on menu, but we all found something delicious to choose from. Will definitely visit again when back in Gatlinburg.

Best Ruebens in the world. Been coming there since the 80s. Like most people we stumbled on it by accident. I understand the reviews about good service is not always available. The owners have gotten older and I wish they would share their Ruben secrets with other people, who could buy it and keep the tradition going. Because they literally are the best Reubens I’ve ever eaten in my life.

I’ve been drinking beer here for years. Only today realized there was an amazing restaurant too! The pretzel is phenomenal. The sandwiches are huge and flavorful. I can’t wait to get back. Best kept secret in Gatlinburg.

Our family enjoyed reuben, corned beef sandwich, hoagie and frankfurter meals with chips , soda and beer in the upstairs Hofbrauhaus. Delicious! Great little environment.

Small, quaint, cash only German restaurant. Ordered the polish sausage and my boyfriend had their popular rueben, both were pretty good with generous portion. The place only has about 6 tables and the waitress was very attentive. If you don’t have cash, the Donut Friar next door has an ATM.

The cheese shop is small and charming. Super nice staff and the cheese is delicious! We hadn't seen buffalo sauce cheese anywhere before and it was perfect. Try the pretzels with beer cheese!

I try to come here every time we are in Gatlinburg. A nice variety of cheeses cut to order. I had them cut my cheese into strips so I could eat while walking around town. They also sell crackers and other canned/jarred food. A small shop so it's nice to just browse through real fast.

We had to wait a few minutes for them to get set up for lunch and the wait was worth it! The Reubens were delicious and filling. We wanted to go back for a second time but unfortunately they’re closed on Mondays when we were able to go. Very reasonable prices for the sandwiches and we wish we would have tried the pretzel too. Great place!
