Panda-jr Chinese Restaurant

Always lived less than 5 minutes away and never stopped by until today. Glad I did because this place is legit. Its a hole a in the wall but often times that's where you find the best food. I had orange chicken, shrimp noodle rice rolls, stir fry veggies, and the egg tart. This will probably be the only Chinese place I order from now.

Fantastic hole in the wall spot! Easily missed but you have found them in the reviews as I did! The chef was very welcoming and wanted to earn my business from the moment I stepped in. I was taken back for a moment as he was the only one there. Nonetheless, I gave him a chance and let him cook me up the orange chicken and fried rice lunch special. We ended up talking and it happens he is very engaged in the Asian community and is married to a Chinese woman! The chef was passionate and loved his craft. On to the food! I'm a Chinese American as well as a chef. I could tell he had years of experience as I watched him work the wok and prepare my food. It came out as good as I expected. The orange chicken was tender and crispy and the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, saltiness and thickness. The fried rice had a blend of corn, peas, egg, and soy sauce to bring out a great fried rice. I will be back and I would recommend this place based off of one entree because after speaking with you, I know you would do everything to make a guest happy. Don't be scared to try this place and support a small business. Go now!

I'm 65, single and live in Sachse, I make a special trip to get my Chinese food from Panda Jr. Also, I always order 2 meals, Orange Chicken (the best I've ever had) and then usually Fried Rice to eat at a later meal. The portions are very generous and so I can get 4 meals from these 2 dinners. Like other reviews, I must say the owner is hard working, accommodating and very pleasant.

Really amazing chinese food. Everything is made from scratch and made fresh. The owner is so extremely nice and makes the food himself. He is a one man show to ensure the food is always the highest of quality (which it is!), so if you decide to eat here...please be patient as it is just him running the shop and making the food. This family will definitely be coming here more often!

Garland Foodies of Facebook Member. 10/10 Well i finally went to Panda Jr. Off of Glenbrook and it is freaking fantastic the orange chicken was crispy and tangy with the orange peel. Got vegetable lomein and it was soo good I couldn't even take a picture as I forgot and I was busy eating it.... Vegetable fried rice and regular fried rice and then i got 10 vegetable spring rolls..... No their not all just for me... lol Next time going to try the sesame chicken or the jalapeño chicken. I’ve come to this place twice and where do I start? A small restaurant with the biggest welcoming service! Despite being just fast food the owner treats his customer with care. I couldn’t be happier! Last time I ordered fried rice and steamed dumplings and it was so good that I asked another customer to try it out and he ended up ordering 2 sets of dumplings 8ea). The plain fried rice is not just plain fried rice. It was real fried rice with vegetables! Cheap fried rice will more likely be pre-made and just sitting there on top of a steamer heater waiting to be served. My hot & sour soup was so delicious that only if I wasn’t so full from the rest of the food I’d take 1 more bowl! What made it stands out is he kept his menus minimal. His dishes are signature dishes. Who likes going to a restaurant with 50+ items on the menu to choose from?? Seriously?? The more items you have the lower the standard! I told the owner in a friendly manner that I’m going to the gym later and right now needs something to fill me up. He got me a huge vegetable fried rice and fried shrimp and on top of that he gave me a hot Chinese tea because it was so cold outside. He even recommended some good source of protein for me as well. Despite him working by himself he was able to take the time and perform his duties efficiently in a timely matter. Outstanding service! I will definitely come back. For those who has not tried this place I strongly recommend it. Don’t miss out!
