Absolutely the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. The coffee was piping hot and delicious. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast. The steak was huge! The hashbrowns were freshly grated. Eggs cooked perfectly. I ordered the pancake breakfast. I am very particular about my eggs. They were cooked to my exact specifications. The sausage patty was super fresh tasting. The staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

This place is great. The blended iced mochas are simply the best to wash down their delicious cinnamon rolls. And to say they are animal friendly is an understatement. We have breakfast there anytime in Garibaldi and sit outside if the weather permits it and they always bring water out for our dogs and hedgehogs.

Dined at Parkside with a large party tonight. (15 people. We called ahead, and they appreciated the advance call.) The server was excellent. Happily took our orders split by check, even though we were scattered across several tables. Food arrived promptly, even though we were a large group. I ate the bowl of clam chowder, and it was yummy and filling. Others in our party had burgers, chicken strips, fish & chips, and Caesar salad. Everyone was pleased with their meal. I heard especially good reactions to the fish and chips. It was served with a small side of pickled seaweed that was surprisingly delicious. Would eat here again when visiting the coast, for sure! Sidenote: Google maps sent all of us the wrong way to get here. From Hwy 101, you can turn directly into the parking lot. There's no need to turn on 3rd, and if you cross the train tracks on 3rd you'll need to turn around.

This was a great place to eat with the family. Decent prices, good portions, and fresh food. If you're near here, try it! Also, loved the pickled seaweed! 👍

A very nice small town resturant. Both the wife and I had their version of a club Sandwich. And we were both very pleased. They used what looked like freshly carved turkey. Onion Rings werr good but a little more temp to the oil would have reduced the lingering grease. I did not go into the Lounge but the resturant was clean and orderly. Staff was friendly and attentive. Yhe lunch and dinner menu are small but that fits a resturant that knows their foods. If you get a chance give them a try.

Very good family eatery. I enjoyed the roast Turkey dinner. My wife had the seafood platter. We are early, so they were not busy. Several dessert offerings

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. We ordered the club sandwiches and I must say, they were some of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. For the appetizer, we got the fried calamari. Delicious! The reason, however, that this review is not a five star review, is because of the clam chowder. The presentation was there... But it lacked in flavor. It was very bland and my wife kept saying that it tasted like they used clams from a can. I concur with her observation. Overall though, good food. Good environment. Good looking pies and cakes. We didn't order any because we were too full, but, they looked incredible.

Been coming here for years and years! The staff is always amazing and friendly. It’s super clean, including the bathrooms. Dining room, bar area with fireplace and a patio with some cover too! The chowder here is some of the best, and I tell everyone about it. Rainy day chowder and a slice of pie? Yes please!!! The other “famous chowder place” has nothing on Parkside.

Lovely bartender, great service, large food portions, and yummy cocktails - maybe one of the best I have had. The patio also has dog friendly seating :)

Our waitress went above and beyond to try to cheer up my niece, who was obviously having a rough morning. Honestly, she was one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. She was the only waitress and they were starting to get really busy but she was just so nice to everyone and didn't seem stressed out.

My oh my this place sure delivered great food. Three hungry teenage boys. Burgers that they said were the best. I had the turkey dinner which hit the spot. This was a pleasant surprise. The gal who served us was sweet and attentive. The restaurant clean and inviting. I wish we paused to take pictures but when yummy food is put in front of you, you dig in. Perfect start to our week long beach vacation.

Pretty good place to eat. The decor is a little boring- mostly grey, but if you don't care about ambience, then ignore that part. The clam chowder was okay... has a thick potato base to it. I had the top sirloin with asparagus and a fully loaded baked potato. This was all really good. The loaded baked potato was $2 more than the regular baked potato that co.es with the meal. The best part was the dessert. I had the carrot cake that was moist and thick and awesome. My son had the chicken strip dinner for kids, which was fine.

I hate giving anything other than 1 star or 5 star reviews. This was just about the only place open at 6pm on a Sunday evening within 10 minutes of Rockaway where I was staying. Food was alright - everything was deep fried and the prices were a bit steep for what you got. It was packed busy and there was only one waitress who was busting butt to get to everyone and she seemed a bit stressed. She did a great job for the circumstances but definitely need more folks during the summer months (I also know it's hard to keep employees at the moment...) Expect to pay $15 for an alright hamburger or chicken strips. Prices high, food average, service alright.

What a lovely place! Great team with smiles and no attitude. It's often crowded so you may have to wait a bit but you will be rewarded with freshly prepared comfort food dishes, whether lunch or dinner. The fish & chips is delectable! I was disappointed that I was so full after my meal because of the desserts I saw coming out of the kitchen that I didn't have room for! If you're doing a coast jaunt, stop in, you won't regret it.

Had their 2 piece fish&chips basket with a side salad. Food came within 5 minutes, but only 2 other tables were eating. Bt 7:00 pm about 5 parties of 4 to 6 had been seated, but the two servers tag teamed to provide attentive service. Fish was fried just right, fresh, and flakey. Fries were large cut and also doen just right. While costs have gone up quality and service have improved.

I was extremely happy with our dinner experience at Parkside Restaurant for a few reasons. First Monica our server was very pleasant, funny, fast and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out surprisingly fast and was delicious 😋. I had the 3 large pieces of fish with potatoe salad and a cup of clam chowder.

I like the lounge area in this place. Friendly bartenders and great locals to chat with. Happy hour is from 5-7 Monday thru Thursday only and the well drink prices are like $3.00. There's a patio too which is lovely when the weather is nice. The food is just ok in my opinion. They have a nice selection but the steamer clams I got we very blah and ordinary. The broth they were in was not tasty but rather icky with a side of melted but. I was told they were in wine garlic and butter but they didn't taste that way. My wings were ok. I'd say overcooked. My friends Turkey dinner was good but it only had white meat and when he asked how he could get some of the dark, it was then they revealed they only cook the breast. Before we ordered they told us they roast a fresh Turkey everyday. Well they mislead us in thinking the whole bird not just the breast. I will say that the person who does all the baking there is amazing! Don't skip dessert! My friend has tried the carrot cake, marionberry pie and the peanut butter chocolate pie and absolutely loves them.
