El Pollo Inka

Absolutely delicious and authentic Peruvian food! The Lomo Combinado was amazing. Tender steak and grilled veggies over a bed of beans and rice. Make sure to get the "pisco sour" -the signature drink of Peru! The staff is super friendly, and Antonio, the owner, is one of the nicest guys ever. Can't recommend this place enough!

My wife and I just got home from visiting the restaurant located off the 91 Freeway in Gardena and our experience was not the best. When we arrived we were greeted well, our server was pleasant and took our order and that was the best part of the entire service. Our server never returned to our table. From that point forward, no one came back to our table to check on us. We never got our drinks and they did not even put utensils at the table. After much wait, we got our food and that’s when they discovered that they never brought drinks, utensils, soup or bread. All of a sudden they all rushed and put everything at once at the table. By the time we were finished with our soup, our food was cold. When we finished eating, another server came to our table to get the plates and asked if everything was good. I told her it was not and asked to speak to the manager. Instead of getting the manager she asked us what was wrong and we told her how no one ever showed up to our table and how the food was cold. She asked why we did not tell the person who served us that the food was cold, and we told her we couldn’t because no one ever stopped by once. The server said she was going to ask the manger to give us a discount and walked away. A short time later, another male server (who was serving the table next to us) showed up and said he heard we had bad service and asked us what had happened. We went through the whole story again and he said he was sorry that the most he could do was to give us a free dessert, which we turned down. While he was talking to us, the check was dropped off and the moment we left the payment, it was immediately picked up and we had our change. Funny how quick they were to drop off the check and were looking out for the payment but not as attentive when it came to our service. After the guy left our table, the first female server who heard our complaint came back and asked if everything was ok. I asked her if the guy I had spoken to was the manager and her response was “he is right now.”

This is place is horrible, the wife, baby & I have been seating for 20mins before I had to call someone over to take our order, a family of 8 where waited before us be us, our waitress smelt like a booze hound. I order a coke & there was no carbonation in the soda, I had to request bread from the waitress & when she brought it out there were only 2 pieces of bread & some none tasting chicken soup. This place is one of the worst experiences ever I had at a restaurant & El Pollo Inka. TRULY WASTEFUL PLACE

Terrible service. No one stopped by to check on us to offer refill drinks. My son waited for someone to refill his cup, no one showed up. Before that, we asked for dishes to serve chicken. It took a long time and requested to three different waiters. Rude staff. On top of that, gratuity tip was included on the bill. Food is ok, not that great. Never going back.

It used to be the best, the Aji de Gallina, the Higado Asado, I took a lot of dates here, specially with the dancing floor available. But not the service is lacking and the food not deserving. The Ceviche was raw not fully cooked with the lime, the soup was water and my aji was old. I hope this places bounces back and it gets better soon, otherwise I and my friends won't be coming back here.
