This place is a restaurant and right next door is a bar! A really good place to get authentic drinks and food. I will say the food portions are small but still very yummy. Drinks are huge though. You’re right across the Galveston beach so you can head over there when you’re done!
Burritos (tacos) were good 👍 sizes are HUGE, well worth the money. I had a breakfast plate and was very good also. Very authentic. My spouse complained his food needed a bit more seasoning for the meat, but stated food was still very good and tender. Prices are great.

I come here multiple times when I am in Galveston on business. Clean restaurant, Good food and Great prices. The young ladies who run the restaurant are very attentive and always make you feel welcome. Don’t miss out on a good breakfast in Galveston.

Wow, the regular burrito and surprise burrito were awesome! If you're from the San Antonio area, I would say they're even better than Mary's tacos. One should fill most people up, and they're only about $3 each. Definitely recommend and we'll be back.

Tacos El Rey has good food at a great price. The burrito is more the size of what other places call "tacos" and their tacos are more of the size of street tacos. However, the food is very good. The "grandmother" of the establishment makes the hot sauce / salsa herself and there is a "mild" and "hot"
