I absolutely love this place! The amount and quality of food you get for the price can't be beat! I usually get a Chilaca Chicken Bowl with extra chicken (it's only $1 extra!), and the portion is so huge, it's two meals for me - for under $10. Really great value and the staff is friendly and helpful.

So needed for this neighborhood, and it didn't disappoint. The food is great; everything seasoned to perfection. I tried both the beef and the Chilaca chicken. The Chilaca chicken was my favorite while the beef was my granddaughters favorite. Either way you can't go wrong. Did I mention the staff is courteous and efficient?

Chilaca is a hidden gem! You walk inside and see a nice, clean, modern restaurant with fresh, quality food at an affordable price accompanied by fantastic service! My wife and I were looking for a good Mexican restaurant to take her parents to. My father-in-law can be a little picky so we were a little worried, but Chilaca did not disappoint! We'll definitely be going back!
This small restaurant is amazing. It's set up similarly to Subway where you tell them what you'd like in your giant burrito or bowl, etc. The warm meats, beans, rice and onion/bell pepper mix behind the glass entices you while your giant tortilla is warming up. There's different options to choose from, but it's hard to switch when the things you try are so darn good, you just can't do it. Their cilantro lime rice is absolutely delicious. I wouldn't mind just eating a side of that. I've eaten the burritos and bowls here, and you can't go wrong with either, honestly. Ask for guacamole on whatever you get. They don't skimp with that at all. They mound it up pretty high! Eat here - you'll love it.
Excellent burritos and burrito bowls. Very fresh! And the guacamole is worth the extra. I took my family of four and my kids loved it too. Clean restrooms. Will definitely be back.
Your restaurant didn't come up on Google Search for "Mexican Restaurant Nearest Me" but wife had been here before and we found you again. Glad we did. Great selection, generous portions, and extremely friendly helpful staff. Checked on us and went the extra mile to meet our requests. I was hesitant to try this place out but so glad I did. The food was fresh and delicious, portion was huge, price very nice and the guy working was really nice. I will for sure come back!

Ate at Chilaca Mexican Grill on Holiday Drive and Seawall in Galveston today. Kind of a Freebird World Burrito lite. You can get Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas, Bowls, or Salads. The prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants and also to Freebird World Burrito. I tried a Chilaca Steak Burrito and a plain steak quesadilla. Both were among the best I've had in over ten years. I'll be going back and trying other menu items. Thanks for making me feel comfortable in your restaurant.
It was ok. The guy serving was very helpful and nice. The food was good. It was kind of like chipotle but with a bit more Mexican in it.
