It’s so good we had to go back! We really enjoyed the friendly staff and delicious food and drinks.
I appreciate as soon as you walk in they sit you down and get you a glass of water and ask your order. The queso and chips was great. The drinks are OK. Their flour tortillas, or store-bought, I would recommend corn tortillas or chips.
This was my 1st time to come to Tortugas. My daughter and her friends have been before. I didn’t want anything big, so I ordered the Taco Salad, well I was totally disappointed. Food was delicious. We sat outside and the breeze felt amazing. Our server was nice and got our order out quickly. The margarita was a bit light but satisfying and fresh in this humidity. All three plates were delicious. No complaints here. 👌
Went there for dinner. I ordered a fajita with rice, black bean, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and flour tortillas. The food was good. I also ordered a jalapeno margarita. It was a perfect accompaniment. Little bit pricey. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.
This restaurant used to be at a different spot on the Seawall, but I never got to eat at that location before they moved.
They’re now located in a small shopping center a little ways down on the 2nd floor. There is also elevator access, for those that are unable to use the stairs.

Loved this place! Marvin, our server was great! The veggie fajitas were delicious! Plenty of options!The only thing to note is that they are located on the second floor and there are lots of stairs. This is not ideal for walking impaired individuals.
We had such an amazing dinner at Tortuga Mexican kitchen in Galveston. This place is located right on the beach and has a upper deck view. The beef fajitas were good, the flour tortillas were good, but the charro beans and rice were no good at all the charro beans tasted very sour like the cook put too much beer or vinegar on the beans. Visited Tortuga on Easter Sunday. We chose to sit on their patio, which has a lovely view of the Gulf. It's separated by the highway and highway noise, but still nice and shaded. The tables were not in great repair, but I guess that is the price of a restaurant in the salt air.

The food here is so good. Dylann was the lady who waited on us and she is awesome. It is our anniversary and they took great care of us. Beautiful views of the ocean while at our table. We will be back every time we come to Galveston.
