Apache Mexican Cuisine - Galveston Island - Photo album

This is like I am in my friend's tia's kitchen. Homemade food for sure. Delicious to the last bite. Highly recommend salsa, rice, carne guisada (I cannot stress how amazing this tastes and tender) and Surprise Burrito. Everything is served on paper or in styrofoam, but that's just to protect and ea
Delicious! The salsa is authentic, fresh and has a bite. The carne guisada was amazing, tender and full of flavor. Beans and rice were also surprisingly flavorful as well. Highly recommend to try if you like fresh and authentic Mexican food. The owners are very friendly, nice and personable. Great e
We decided to stop here for some breakfast. They did t have menudo at the time but we stayed away and I'm glad we did. The huevos rancheros we're delicious. The Chorizo is home made with a 150 year old recipe and it was the best I've ever had! The salsa looked plain but I kept eating it. Not to spic
Amazing food! Excellent service and very friendly. If you like small, family owned, out of the way places, you will love it!
I am not normally an enchalilada guy but they told me it was their specialty and I was not disappointed! The chicken. Enchilada was especially good. Great tamales as well!
Some of the best Mexican food I've had in my life. Burrito was fresh, crispy, and flavorful. Small hole in the wall location that is very a assuming (but AMAZING)!
I am a huge fan of hole in the wall places, they almost always have the best food and the most down to earth staff. This place hit the mark. The wife loved the tortilla soup, and my steak and eggs hit the spot. We'll be back.
I've been to Apache several times now for lunch and its fantastic every time! The food is fresh and homemade and I clean my plate every meal. The salsa is great and I've had the tacos, enchiladas, and its all consistently awesome. Its by far the best Mexican food on the island.
They're trying hard to recover from COVID. The enchiladas were great, but the nachos left a bit to be desired. All food and drinks were served in disposable paper and plastic, which was kind of a bummer. Only the owner and one server were running the entire place, though the service wasn't bad. Prob
Veggie omelet Delicious ! Recommend Old still breakfast and restaurant.
We did not plan to eat here because thought they still were closed due to COVID but we saw a sign in the sidewalk for chicken tinga special. I had delicious chicken enchiladas with creamy sauce, my favorite here. My husband had the biggest and most delicious breakfast taco ever. They were using p
I can't tell you how many times people called Mexican food authentic but this place is the real deal. I ordered something very basic a guacamole salad with hot sauce and chips and it was completely all homemade. The hot sauce with made with fresh vegetables and you can tell nothing was canned. The g
Delicious Mexican food in a cozy enviroment! We had a large group of 11 and they were able to seat us without rearranging but it was the only large table. The waitress was really friendly and took great care of us. Great experience overall!
Great authentic Mexican in the Island! Small little hole in the wall, one man show type of deal, but the food is superb! My family and.I usually go for the breakfast menu on the weekends and the Surprise Burrito is the go to food! Keep up the good work!
Stopped in after getting of a cruise ship and it was nice to have an authentic Mexican meal while we waited for a shuttle. Surprise breakfast burrito was delicious and the nacho was a generous prtion with freash ingredients. Looks like a little hole in the wall from down the street, but worth the tr
Good little place tucked away in East Galveston, never seen it get busy at all. Mostly one other table or two when I visit for lunch, which I suppose is a good thing compared to busy restaurants who focus on quantity over quality. I wouldn't recommend going in with a big party! Tacos, enchiladas, th
I used to go to this restaurant when I was a little girl it's been there decades..But I don't remember ever seeing them make enchiladas with flour tortilla... Uck! Authentic Mexican enchiladas are not made with flour tortillas ,they are made with corn. I hope they know the difference
