Review O'charleys - Gainesville

For standard American fare at a decent price, I was pleasantly surprised by my O’Charley’s experience this week. O’Charley’s has school fundraisers now and my children’s high school chorus performed there for two hours this week. 15% of the money spent in their section during the show went back to their school. Cool concept! I haven’t been to an O’Charley’s in at least 10 years but the service was prompt and the quality and quantity of food we got was great for the money. Their warm yeast rolls and butter are crave-ably tasty. My honey chicken was delicious and I loved my broccoli too. My daughter’s chicken tender platter was huge and the tenders were tasty and plump. Both my kids had cobbler for dessert - beware, if you want ice cream (and who doesn’t want ice cream with cobbler?) it’s a $1.99 up-charge. But, the cobbler - especially peach - was an ample portion for sharing and seriously tasty. For a solid meal at a good value, I’d have to recommend this place. For a comparable meal, I’d say their selection isn’t quite as big as Cheddar’s, but the quality of food was much better. I also appreciate the community-minded management that brought our chorus there for a fund raiser too.

Food is great! Service was ok, we had a new waitress who seemed to be having a challenging night but the rest of the team stepped in to help.

The team was friendly from the time my wife and I walked in. Our waitress took it from there and blew our minds with some fresh hot dinner rolls that looked and smelled awesome...no joke. The appetizers were great. The food was huge... just huge. The pictures in the menu does NOT justify the actual size. We got the check and again was surprised about the total amount everything was. Wifey was happy. Overall rating should be 5 stars but my sweet tea was not sweet enough.

I just came from dinner at O'Charley's and I'm still in awe at the awesome meal I had. The combination of chopped steak with mushrooms, smashed potatoes, and strawberry lemonade made for one of the best meals I've ever experienced in my life. The steak and strawberry lemonade were simply outstanding. And let me give a shoutout to my awesome server, Roman. Roman was incredibly friendly and attentive. Truly one of the best servers I've ever met. Thanks so much to both O'Charley's and Roman for making the end of my trip to Georgia so memorable.

Looks awesome on the outside..great bread and butter ,the drinks tasted kinda funny..the prices are very reasonable, it's a lot of staff standing around. The food was nothing special to want to come again..I give it 2 stars not impressed

Shout out to the awesome team at O'Charley's in Gainesville, GA! Our medical office has recently had two large orders and we couldn't be more pleased with the staff there! They were super courteous from taking our order to picking it up and all our orders were exactly right!! This is very rare with large orders (14 separate orders each time!) at most restaurants, so we wanted to give them huge kudos for being so kind and doing such a great job! And the food was delicious!

The young lady was very helpful getting my order ready. Even met the manager making his rounds very nice a friendly guy. Definitely recommend eating here. Is clean and the food is great.

Cassie is a sweetheart. We ordered the chop stead with gravy and grilled chicken. We also had blackberry cobbler and the artichoke dip. Everything was cooked to perfection. Thank you Cassie for taking such good care of us while we are in from out of town from Las Vegas. She made our visit memorable!

Our server was wonderful. His great service was overshadowed by the fact that we had to wait at least an hour for a table while group after group that came in after us was seated promptly. To be fair, we had a group of nine, yet we weren't seated at a large or special table, just two regular tables pushed together. Though our server promptly took our drink orders & food orders, we waited nearly 45 minutes to get our food, while quite a few parties seated after us received their orders long before we did. I was very disappointed in the general experience though our server was very good.

My husband and I ate a mid afternoon supper there today and had the best server, Devin. He was very attentive and didn't rush us out when it was pouring down rain. Because of his attentiveness we even got dessert even though we were borderline stuffed. He is definitely a 5 star server! Keep up the great work, Devin!

Worst service I've had at a restaurant in a long time! My family of three-my order was wrong and cold, daughters order was wrong, husbands food was not cooked all the way through and cold. Sent daughters and husbands back. Took 15 min for his, 25+ for hers. By the time her food returned, she had eaten most of my meal and was no longer hungry. Explained this to the waitress AND the manager. Was charged full price for all three meals even after explaining to the manager we didn't need hers-everyone was finished eating. Just an "I'm sorry". Worst customer service! Will not return!!!

My wife and I are there around 6:30pm on Saturday (to celebrate our 48th anniversary) and got a seat right away, even though the restaurant appeared nearly full and busy. Daniel, our server, was Johnny-on-the spot with our drinks, appetizer, and meals. We had the prime rib special, which was excellent, and had cherry pie a la mode for dessert. All in all, an excellent evening with a wonderful meal and tremendous service.

I had always been loved the service and food O'Charleys. But tonight was the first time I HAVE EVER. Gotten up and left a restaurant. The waitress was horrible. Had to ask for silverware. The rolls were cold and dry. We had to ask another employee to please get our waitress ( she was MIA ). She forgot to put our appetizer in so we never got it. And then when our meal came the hush puppies were practically Burt on the outside yet still had uncooked batter on the inside . The manager apologized for the food and service before the meal even got to us. But when we did get it and how horrible it was cooked I could take no more. I walked out. Please understand I'm never one to do this. But wow. It will be a very long te before I go back there.

I new to area. First time we went everything went wrong. We got 20.00 to go back. We went back after 2 weeks , it was alittle better not much. Got sat around bar area. The server was forgetful and very slow. My husbands prime rib was nice and thick but over done. My chicken was cold and mashed potatoes was too. We didn’t say anything this time just won’t go back. 😒

I had the steak and chicken finger plate with macaroni and cheese and broccoli. The steak was great cooked perfect and juicy, chicken fingers WOW delish, macaroni and cheese to die for and the broccoli was cooked perfect!

We had the sweetest little waitress!! Food took a bit, but we were there to enjoy conversation, so who cares!!!! Great wait time, we had a huge party and these guys accommodated us without even blinking an eye!!!! Cheddars said 2 hours and actually hung up on us!!!! Ocharleys customer service is by far the best I've seen in handling large numbers!!

We went there last night with our 3 kids. The food was amazing! A waiter from another section stopped to talk to our little ones. The Southern Belle Margarita is the best Margarita I have ever had! It will for sure become our regular spot

We had a awful experience at OCharleys in Gainesville, GA today. We will not be back and this used to be a good place to eat. We came at 12noon and ordered Prime Rib for 2. It was advertised on website, tv, coasters, menu from 10-2 and ordered Salmon dinner. 30 mins later waitress Savannah comes out & says that we can't have it until 1p. But no where on board sign when we came in did it say that and why were we not told sooner. So we ordered steaks. Waitress never wrote down order & so my elderly father in-law never got his salmon dinner. When we did get our steaks at 1:30p, they were burnt, tough & mashed potatoes were awful. Talked to manager but she seemed like she didn't care about us & our very bad experience there. She did not charge us for Salmon dinner to take with us bc waitress ordered the wrong meal twice. But we had to pay for the 2 burnt, tough steaks & awful mashed potatoes. The potato soup if you call it that was very salty. My husband's lemonade was so sour & had a bad after taste that he couldn't drink it even when he added 3/4 water to it. Overall it was the worst experience ever. Never again. You might we want to think about going to this restaurant.

Only giving two stars bc the food wasn't bad. Which is the main reason we came obviously. This is hands down my favorite restaurant but the worst location. I'll start with the fact that we had to wait for the hostess to come to the stand and she never did. So a server had to come seat us and made us feel bad for sitting in a section he wasn't sure we could sit in. Server wasn't friendly in the slightest as we are waiting for forever for our food she finally brings it, smelling like cigarette smoke and the food wasn't hot, but still good. Everyone was on their phones instead of taking care of the people around. These servers complain about not making enough money, I won't spend my hard earned money on someone that takes zero pride in their job. Very terrible customer service. Will have to travel to another location to eat at this chain. :/

Great place! Great food! Great service!.... I drive semi, and this is my place to relax and unwind when I'm in town....

Had a great time with friends. Great food, great staff, and the food runner yesterday was super hot. Lol!

Typically eat here at least once a week and have always had a pleasant experience. Food is good and pricing is great. Ron Yates Gainesville, Ga.
