I took my father here for Father’s Day since all the restaurants were packed. Definitely worth it! As you can tell from the pictures everything was freshly made to order! The establishment is very clean and the customer service is amazing! Everyone with me thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My personal experience wasn’t the best though. I got the Grilled Catfish and as you can tell my proportion was much smaller than those of my family. Was it good? Yes. My food was ready at the same time that my families was but a small line formed and it took an additional 5 minutes for them to get me my dish. So, my family took pity and let me try a bit of theirs while I waited. Will I be ordering the Grilled Catfish again? No. Also, I asked to substitute the coleslaw for extra fries. The fries were amazing! A million times better than any I’ve tried and they were seasoned perfectly! My dad wanted the fries I “borrowed” back lol. There was also no ice when we got our drinks BUT they did refill the machine at some point during our meal. Besides that, I will be back. I understand that having a line can be overwhelming and deducting any stars for that would be unfair. 10/10 Customer service besides that!!!

I go here at least once a month to treat myself. I always order the seafood platter, which costs about $20 but is really good! You get fried oysters, shrimp,🍤 scallops, flounder, hush puppies, coleslaw and fries for $19.95. It’s always outstanding, as are the employees. The place is clean and they have seafood on ice to buy by the pound, for To Go orders. Angel obviously gets fresh seafood delivered daily and cares about the quality for the customers. I only wish the Dozen raw oysters 🦪 weren’t $19.99, because if they were cheaper, I’d be eating them every week! As the sign says, Eat Fish, Live Longer! Eat Oysters, Love Longer! 👍😎

2stars for the chef, minus for the quantity, lack of value, and non seafood items. Just think my $10.99 Thumbs up meal was the same as my child’s $5.99 meal difference of 1 frozen in the middle hushpuppy and a coleslaw. Nothing like spending $22+ for 2 small pieces of flounder and cold food w a $3 fountain drink. SMH. It’d be better to visit an American Deli w better drink fish and fries quantity/price w more options for the rest of the family. I let them know but you know, if it ain’t the owner or management they don’t care. They strangely place your sauce on top of your coleslaw for some unsanitary reason…why?!

It was our first order and we were pleasantly surprised! Absolutely delicious! Best takeout we’ve had so far. The food was very fresh, tasty, and well prepared. Also, the portions were great. I had the fried scallop plate with a small salad, and my husband had the small shrimp Cajun boil with mussels. He loved it! We highly recommend!!

Visited on a Sunday. Luckily, right before, the after church crowd. Very clean, smelled of fresh seafood and frying food, big plus! My wife had the fried cod with fries, cole slaw,, and hush puppies. Super! Light breading and flakey fish. Great hush puppies and hose made cole slaw. I had the shrimp boil with corn, sausage and potatoes. Tasty! Offered as spicy or not. Spicy it is! Nice heat and flavor. I recommend the garlic butter flavor. All in all great food and atmosphere. Staff was friendly and efficient. We will be back.

I really recommend this place they got fresh seafood, I got the Snow crab and was delicious! also the service was so nice with us! I definitely Will back

My wife and I ate here last week. Absolutely incredible and fresh!! Little pricey but you had better get use to inflation across the board. It won't be long before only the rich can eat out. So if you are in this type of position. Eat at Gainesville seafood Market. It's our new favorite spot.

Wanted gumbo and oysters got more than I expected and loved the food . The gumbo was rich and thick seasoned well . The oysters were blue point deep water and we're fantastic. Best part was the service and the little extras , Cole slaw was fresh, bread was hot and just baked , gave us extra sauces , extra lemon, and fresh ground horseradish. The hush puppies are the best in Gainesville hands down. French fries were hot and crispy and plentiful. The manager came to our table and checked on us and made sure we were happy with the dinner. I most definitely will be there again.

Just had the best grilled shrimp I think I've ever had (better than if we were at the beach) at the Gainesville Seafood Market!! Can't recommend this place highly enough! (The owner even brought us their seafood dip to try on the house!)

Great fried calamari!! Loved the batter! We both got the fried shrimp and it was also great! We found a new place for fresh seafood!

We really enjoy the great food and the friendly service. Highly recommend this place to eat if your in Gainesville they make you feel so welcome. Did I mention the cleanliness too?

Awesome place! We stopped in for some raw oysters and they did not disappoint! Very clean and friendly. They had Blue Point oysters, and they shucked them for us and served on a tray of ice with all the fixings 🙂 we will be going back soon 👍🏼

Today is my wife's birthday. All she wanted was some seafood. Gainesville seafood market, not only provided wonderful food, but also the best experience we could possibly have. They treated us like we were the most special family in the word. Thank You!! You have won a customer for life

11/25/17. My daughter brought me here for my birthday. We had steamed shrimp, fried shrimp and oysters. Outstanding! We brought home fresh gulf shrimp and lump crab meat. It was excellent! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Will go back again and again!

Great fresh food and the best service. I eat here every time I’m in Gainesville for lunch.

This is a great place. I've had shrimp tacos and fried shrimp. Both excellent. The fries also give Five Guys something to worry about.

My dad and I eat here about once a week for lunch. We always get the salads. They are absolutely amazing. There is so much flavor. By far the best salad I've ever had! Everyone is always very nice as well. Great service.

This is hands down my most favorite seafood place!! Their grilled sefood is Devine and their French fries delish!! Love love it!! Best in Gainesville

Fresh seafood, nicely fried & tasty coleslaw. One improvement I would make would be to French fries. Their oil is not hot enough to make the French fries crisp. They were limp and not fried enough. We might go back but we will insist that the French fries be crisp.

The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was so eager to help make sure we had a great meal. We were practically greeted with samples of New England Clam Chowder and Gumbo. Both were fantastic!! The food was cooked to order. Very fresh and tasty. We will be back.

I just had the grouper po boy and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and fast. To top it all off I had a café cubano for a dessert pick me up! Delicious!

First time going to Gainesville Seafood Market. Very laid back atmosphere. Service was excellent as was food. Large portions. They even have their own bakery. We had an assortment of a crab cake, fried shrimp, scallops, clam strips and oysters, along with some grilled scallops. Their sides are very good as well. Will definitely be going back!
