I went here to get free food during their grand opening, and I can honestly say that I will never return. First of all, the decor and overall atmosphere has nothing to do with the supposed "Japanese kitchen" that they claim to be. It looks more like the interior of a log cabin than anything else. Decor aside, their menu is reminiscent of a wannabe-Chipotle. You get to pick your choice of meat and carb, as well as your veggies and toppings. And although their meat was pretty tasty, everything else was lack luster. This was because the flavors of the veggies clashed heavily with that of the meat, and the fact that they only have a few veggies to choose from did not help. On top of that, the price is rather high for the small amount of food they end up fitting at a bowl.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it, unless you can get a hold of a good coupon.

A little pricey, but worth the visit. Friendly service and offered free soup and guacamole when the order took longer than expected. Food is very different than other restaurants, but it's surprisingly delicious. Try the pulled pork bun!
