Review Planet Smoothie - Gainesville

I see I'm not the only one here with this same problem, but I'll say my piece anyhow. I was looking to make this a potential new daily stop after work, but it's really discouraging when you walk into an empty store (as in no other customers) and it still takes the employees 3+ minutes to even acknowledge you - and not even verbally - while they chat amongst themselves about personal whatevers. When they looked over at me and still didn't say anything, I just walked out. Does anyone actually work here?

Ashley helped me today and she was very kind and also offered vanilla ice cream as the base instead of ice. It was really delicious this way.

I’m in town for a week and second time I went here. I was praying the same young woman who helped me the first time wouldn’t be there. Like a couple of the other reviews I read, there was no one there when I went in. I looked to the right and saw the same young woman in the restaurant next door playing with her phone. I asked her if she worked in the smoothie shop and she got up and made my drink, which tasted fine. On both occasions there was no please, thank you, smile or eye contact. In fact, I was treated as if helping me was an imposition and done grudgingly. Also, this time she charged me $5 something for my drink, whereas a few days ago she charged me $7 something for the same drink. This was at 3:00pm today, Thursday January 13, 2022. She is one of the worst representatives of a business I’ve ever come across and should be terminated, as she has no interest in treating customers with politeness or even civility. (BTW, she had very long fingernails.)

There was no one here when I went. Easy one star. No employee to serve me and no sign to say where they went. I have no clue if they were on a smoke break or if whoever was scheduled didn't show, but this type of behavior is unacceptable in the restaurant industry. Needless to say I went the extra few miles and travelled to smoothie king right after this.

I hate writing negative reviews, even when warranted. This time I feel like I have to. Hopefully the owners will address glaring problems with this store. We like planet smoothie as a rule and this store is just completely unsatisfactory This place is disgusting. It's small but every inch of it looks dirty. The front of the counter was empty, what should be in there I don't know but there are stainless steel cubby holes in front of the glass counter and they are all empty and the stainless steel is filthy. Behind the counter filthy. On the shelves filthy. The floor filthy. This location is adjacent to a Moe's Southwest grill and shares a common dining area. The Moe's was filthy. The floor was dirty the bathrooms were disgusting. The young man at the counter was very nice. I will say that. As it turned out he was out of the protein for my daughter's smoothie so I canceled my order and I was grateful to be able to do that with an apparent cause because I really didn't want to eat anything from that store after I got a closer look at where it was being prepared. It was so appalling I could not even believe it because it's in a very nice part of town and a very fine looking store front and shopping plaza. I know these are strong opinions. I think whoever is in charge of that store needs to take a close look at what a customer sees when they walk in. If they don't agree with me they're in the wrong business.

Went there on 2 occasions. First one nobody was there. Second one the lights were off and everything closed up at 10 min to 7 even though it said open till 9. Definitely don't reccomend it. I loved going to the location on archer rd till it closed.

Apparently they open whenever they want. Not at 11:00 like it’s posted. went to grab some quick smoothies and ended up standing outside for 15 minutes until the restaurant next door let us know they open up whenever someone gets there and it would likely be another half hour….never have I seen this happen at any other business. Very odd.

I thought the place was shut down because there was literally nothing on the shelves, counters or walls. There was nobody inside the business at all. I turned to walk out and a girl appeared from Moe's not happy at all that I was there but she did serve me and my smoothie tastes as good as it always does.
