Review Panera Bread - Gainesville

Shayler Levine
Very dry bread. The Mac and cheese sandwich was fairly good. The BBQ chicken sandwich was very good. The mac and cheese broccoli bread bowl tasted like broccoli soup more than mac and cheese. Ordered online and it was ready in less than 10 minutes at 6pm on a week night. The place was very clean and upkept.

Appreciate Panera locations for their consistency not just on the food but the staff as well. This location is currently following protocol and was only accepting online orders during our visit, not a problem because that is our preferred method of ordering. The only issue was they were out of one of the bakery items we ordered, it was very pleasant that they called to ask if we wanted a replacement or refund. The rest of our order was delicious as expected and we are glad Panera food and staff are always great!

This was my family's first time eating here and as those of you that follow me know, my husband and I just vent Vegan. The manager was beyond accommodating. He explained that most everything in their menu can be made the way we wanted. It was a little crowded and messy but the service and atmosphere was awesome...and the food...terrific!

This was the coldest Panera I have ever been to. We had to go get jackets out of our car to sit long enough to eat our meals. It was probably 65 degrees inside, if not colder. Was a bit disappointed in how little soup I got in my bread bowl but the server assured me it was a full 8oz and was friendly and polite but didn't offer any changes.

We frequent this location quite often because we really enjoy Panera but the subtle rudeness and poor customer service is really getting ridiculous. I understand that working in the restaurant industry is not the easiest these days but the pattern of behavior, especially the last 2 visits by management is really bothersome. I HATE HATE going down this road, but being a Person of Color and the past two interactions I have had…I’m just not sure.

The food is.oike other Panera bread. If you like Panera bread food, you will like it. The music is way too loud for anyone to study. I have been there numerous times, so it's was not just a one time thing. Then they only have a section of the restaurant with plugs, which is by the restroom where the music is louder and today smells like sewage.

The place was packed and little masking. This was the smallest and least tasty sandwich I've ever had at any Panera. Wondering if the was too much for them. The height sign was 9 feet I didn't risk the Sprinter so had to park in the lot.

I don’t eat Panera, my wife does and she loves it. She frequents this place for breakfast (see picture) and also for lunch (soups and salads), and is always super satisfied. Today she tells me about her customer service there and said how great everyone was from the folks at the counter to the guy who keeps the coffee fresh. Thought I’d share since she doesn’t do reviews and i don’t eat Panera 😋

I have been there several times and must confess the food is really good. That is not why I gave a poor rating. Their food is a little too pricey for my taste. The last time I was there, I ordered a half size salad. Not having tried any of their salads before, I had no idea of the actual size difference. I paid almost $8.00 for this half of a salad and boy was I both shocked and disappointed. The serving was so small, I had to eat something else and I don't have a big appetite. For the price you pay, you expect to get more. Incidently, I went through the drive through. Also one other thing. When I go into a restaurant to sit down and eat, I expect someone to serve me my food. I don't want to have to retrieve my own food. Why don't they just ask us to wash the dishes while we are at it. I won't go back. Wendy's salads are just as good and you get a hell of a lot more food for less.

Sorry to have to leave a bad review but I have to say something after this time. Today was definitely my last visit to this location. I wish I could post a pic of what was in my salad. It was a balled up piece of wet bread and a long hair(I have short hair). Of course I ate half my salad before I noticed. . This is the 3rd time I've had to just throw my food away and it's not the cheapest place to eat..I always give places another chance but 3 times is to many.

I have had several bad experiences at this particular Panera. They never seem to make the order correctly and they are always out of an ingredient. Very displeased.

I literally just got my to go order of the Pick 2 with Broccoli Cheddar soup and half a sandwich. I get to work, open my bag, take out the soup and the container of soup is NOT even half full! I even took a picture! I really don't usually complain or review about tgings, but this is absolutely ridiculous; especially for the prices they charge. **pic in comments**

Customer service here is extremely terrible plus my sandwich was ice when I got it

The food is good but the prices are high for the portion size. Every time I tell them I want chips they give me bread, so I have to go back up to correct it. Only happens at this particular location though. On a positive note, staff is always friendly.

It's good for what it is and for the price. I know the mac and cheese is just from a microwave but it's sooo good.

I usually love Panera! Only issue is the Chicken Noodle Soup. I'm home sick today and a friend brings it to me for dinner. The soup has 3 noodles, 2 carrots and no real pieces of chicken. Now I'm stuck still hungry and my friend got ripped off. It's not right. The bread with the soup was amazing. The soup is just a waste of money.

After speaking to a Panara employee I decided that I wanted to serve a Holiday Pastry Ring for Christmas Eve morning, since that was when my family was getting together. I wanted to ensure that one would be available so I ordered one online 4 days in advance and paid for it online. I arrived on the scheduled pick up day all ready to run in, grab my pastry and run out. When I got there it wasn't ready, so I asked an employee, who stated that they did not have my pastry ring. Josh, the manager on duty, walked up behind her and said that he tried calling me to inform that they did not have my order. I looked at my phone and he called a few minutes before my scheduled pick up time. I asked him why they did not have my pastry ring and he stated that they only make 2 a day and already sold out of them. I was confused and told Josh that I ordered mine 4 days ago and did not understand why they did not make an extra one or put 1 of the 2 that were made aside for my order. He explained that they do not see their orders until 5 minutes before the pick up time, which still does not make sense to me especially with bakery orders. I then asked what are they going to do now. I already paid for the pastry ring and now I don't have anything to bring for Christmas Eve morning. Josh stated that I could pick something out of the bakery case. It was 4:45pm and the case was almost empty except for 2 cinnamon rolls, a bear claw, muffins, and cookies. I asked Josh what was I supposed to choose from, the case was practically empty and he rudely stated that it was almost 5pm and they sell out quick. He also pointed out that since I ordered a pastry ring I could not choose any of the muffins. So I was left with the 2 cinnamon rolls and a bear claw that he cut up in fourths saying that it was just like the holiday pastry ring. I wish I could post pictures so that you can see what they gave me unapologetically instead of what I paid for. I left so disappointed and frustrated. This whole experience really put a damper in my Christmas Eve morning with my family, who were visiting from Michigan. So the morning that we were all together I served little quaters of hardened cinnamon rolls and a bear claw, which was good but there was only 4 pieces of that. I would have been better off just buying Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and served those. All of this said in hopes that Panera make some changes in their online ordering to ensure that what is ordered from the bakery is actually available when the customer comes in to pick up their order.
