The steak was pretty good but embers has them beat. The lobster was very dry. I’ve never left half a lobster on my plate before. The server wasn’t super informed but friendly. One of my drinks had a bug in it. I had a few sips so that was super gross but I did get a new one. I will say overall flavor of the drinks was phenomenal. The fries lack salt and flavor. The potato au gratin was a favorite though. It’s good. But it’s not excellent. It’s definitely not worth $200 for 2 people. I have had better steaks in lower end establishments. I’m being kind giving it a 3/5.

Made reservations for my husbands birthday. I read a lot of the reviews a lot not so good and good reviews and thought about canceling and going somewhere else. I took my hubby for his birthday today and they exceeded my expectations. We had steak and lobster and they were amazing. Our waiter Aiden was very helpful and attentive. The ambiance is excellent. We are very happy we went!

I’m staying in the hotel, walked down to Shula’s, waited at the checkin table for 5 mins and no one showed. Decided to go to the lounge right beside the restaurant, they use the same kitchen. Sat down at a table in the lounge and after 15 mins, the bartender comes up asks do I need anything, I told her dinner. She said the kitchen is closed. I asked what time does the kitchen close, she says 9 PM, I look at my watch and it says 9:02. I walked out. Staff and management walked by my table numerous times, the bartender looked at me several times but no one can see I don’t have a drink or food on my table! Never will I visit either the restaurant or lounge.

Went there for Valentine’s Day dinner and could not have been more disappointed. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye Medium rare and the first time it came out it looked like it wasn’t even cooked, it was inedible. I don’t like to send stuff back at restaurants but this was unacceptable especially when I knew I was coming in to spend a good amount of money. I sent it back and it came back to me burnt on the outside and once again completely rare on the inside. I ate what I could but ultimately could not finish the steak because it was not good whatsoever. We ended up getting the lava cake for dessert, which was comped to my check because of the steak fiasco, and that was just as disappointing. We were told the lava cake takes about 20 minutes to heat up, we received it in a little over 5 minutes and it seemed to have been microwaved. Our server was amazing and was super helpful throughout the process but I will not be returning to this restaurant. Go to Marks Prime, it is drastically better.

I had reservations on Sunday. The restaurant had one other couple. When I arrived I was seated at a table for 2, and the table cloth looked like someone had wadded it up, wrinkled it beyond use, then put it on the table. I mentioned this to the hostess, who laughed, and did not offer to move me. then I mentioned it to the waiter, who again laughed and did not offer to move me. I requested to speak to the manager, who never came over. If I am going to spend $100 per person for a meal at a fine dining restaurant, I expect the linen to be in order. It speaks volumes about how they would treat your food. No attention to detail. I got up and left, I work too hard for my money to give it to these folks. Teach your waiters some manners, and teach your staff to iron the linen before you throw it on the table. The silver was also not cleaned well. Sad, used to be a great chain, but no more.

Will have to say it was the best steak we have had in Gainesville to date. The staff was amazing and super friendly. We started with the charcuterie board which was great. We ordered the surf and turf and the aged cowboy steak. Both came out perfect! The price tag is a little high but for a once a year trip for a special occasion, I highly recommend.

My youngest daughter treated me with a Mother's Day celebration at Shula's on the Saturday evening before that holiday. All was perfection from the moment we sat down. Gabriella..... our server was accommodating and informed. A fine wine was enjoyed along with a more than ample crisp, calamari appetizer, and Caesar salad. My daughter relished the lobsters and I, the scallops as our main course. The finali of this splendid, dining experience was nearly outdone by the most incredible cappuccino.!
Accolades go to Shula's Manager, Harry R !
Over that past few months, Harry has brought Shula's to the top rung of fine dining in Gainesville. S. Russell

The food was delicious! But i was completely dissatisfied with the portion size compared to the price. I even told the waitress, and she agreed, but didn't offer anything to make it better.
The bill was over 120 for just my girlfriend and I and we both left hungry!!

Clean, brand new place. It lives up to the older Shulas in Miami, just smaller. Tender steaks and tasty family style side dishes. The service is perfect. Try the Woodford Bourbon old fashioned cocktail.
