Quiet little spot. Nothing flashy but cozy. Wait staff is very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The decor is out dated but still very clean. This place was suggested as "fine dining" so that is the only reason I gave a 4 star. This place is casual with a great menu.

Atmosphere:
Small space and cozy feel.
Food:
Steak and Eggs
Nothing special but a good option for a meal. Well seasoned and cooked.
Bison Burrito
Very good flavors particularly with the fresh salsa. I enjoyed the fact that the gaminess of the bison did not overpower the other flavors.
Service:
Very friendly and timely.
Final thoughts:
A good place to go sit down and have a meal and enjoy conversation with a special other(s). No TV or other distractions, other than people walking past the storefront.

I'm ashamed to say I've lived in Gainesville a very long time and this was my first trip to Paramount Grill. I've always heard great things and it certainly lives up to their reputation. Delicious pesto chicken salad sandwich for me, full of flavor, not a crumb left on my plate! My fellow diners were all very satisfied as well.

Besides the server who was friendly and knowledgeable (5 star) the experience. Eh... Valentine dinner with both my daughter and wife was highly anticipated. Drove almost two hours to eat in Gainesville with our daughter. With a reservation for 515 and arrival we ordered quickly. Dinner came after 6. The grilled duck breast was ordered . The duck breast was sliced (2 pieces). Although not dry it was over done. The sauce was good and the best part was the steamed tomatoes. (Fresh?). The scallops were, how should I say, some of the worst we have ever had. Normally we would have returned them but because it took 45 min to get our meal we decided not to. They were not seared or grilled but soggy with a bitter taste. (Cold pan) Used a rice oil. The capers and cheese they used added a smell and texture that does work well with the 4 scallops. . I tried one bite and that was all I could handle. I don't know how my wife ate 3. .. we expected so much more from this place. It's sad when the salad was the best entree. As a side note, gratuity was automatically added. Usually reserved for a larger seating.

I have always gone here for their dinner (the salmon enchilada dish is phenomenal- I get it every time). Today I tried their brunch and I am upset I did not try it sooner! I have been to many brunch spots in Gainesville but the quality, portion size and prices at Paramount are the most impressive in my opinion. I got the goat cheese and avocado omelet with breakfast potatoes. They served little blueberry muffins while we waited. The meal was phenomenal, and the service was great as usual. I highly recommend this restaurant, a true gem in Gainesville that never disappoints.

We had three dishes and every one was lukewarm. Two diners had the duckbreast, which looked like a piece of liver, one diner had the lobster and shrimp with black spaghetti which was delicious but cold. Great pity really because the restaurant came highly recommended, alas I cannot pass on that recommendation. There is NO EXCUSE for a restaurant to be serving cold or luke warm food.

$16.00 for a salad that barely had salmon on it, almost expired lettuce, and stale muffins. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants but the quality has gone down tremendously over the years.

The food was very good and the waitress was friendly. They had a delicious vegan main course and were able to modify some Starters so that my vegan friend could have one of those as well.
