The Potbelly restaurant in Hay Market was good. Food was good and the milkshake was good as well. Service could use some improvement, though. First time there and I wasn’t actually sure where to order and they ended up taking someone else’s, who came in after me, order before mine. Otherwise, everything was good and everyone was polite and friendly.

It was a good Sandwich. I had the Meatball which had just the right amount of Sauce and Cheese. My wife had the Chicken Salad Salad which she enjoyed and my Daughter had a turkey sandwich which she enjoyed as well and last but not least my father in law had a Checked salad sandwich which he was happy with.

Potbelly is truly one of my favorite sandwich places as the sandwich taste and quality are consistent throughout the chain no matter what location you visit. The staff at this Gainesville location is extremely friendly and attentive. They do a great job of keeping the place moving, clean and their sandwich accuracy is pretty darn good. They make a great shake here as well. Great environment to sit down to enjoy your meal and a drink. Fair prices for very good food. The broccoli cheddar soup is some of the best you'll find.

The food was great, as always. The atmosphere was cool. Live music was playing in restaurant. Great smells were coming from the kitchen. We got quick service from a very freindly staff. Its a convient location, inside the Atlas Walk area. Make sure to try your favorite sandwhich with the hot peppers. They serve amazing shakes, and the pickles are great too.

Second order in a week and it was delivered on time and fresh using Active Menus. Food was definitely good and we'll be back again soon to place another order at Potbelly and have it delivered by Active Menus.

I like this place, it's healthy, kind of, depends on what you order, but quality for a sub is good, i like the meats. The people who eat here are normally nice. I order a shake every now and then. It's good, day 4 stars. But I'm giving 5 for overall. Food, store is clean, and staff.

Quality customer service! I picked up a box of sandwiches that I had ordered the day before. When we got to our event we found a few things missing from the order. We did not call to complain because it was not a big deal instead when we got home we found a message from PB taking responsibility for not adding pickles, peppers and extras to our order. They offered to drop it off at our house. They also credited our bill a small percentage. I did not expect this and they really did not have to. It was a very minor thing. I spoke with someone the next day to thank them for their concern. They went out of their way to make it right. They know how to treat their customers. Quality management!

Amazing chicken salad sub!! Everything is super fresh. Real milkshakes- although I will say the berry milkshake was pretty bland. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will be going back soon - I'm craving that sub again!

Better subs compared to Subway. Cleanliness was poor. I did enjoy the chicken pot pie soup. Good location in the Gainesville area. Parking is rough during lunch hours. Laid back atmosphere with lots of older props for the decor. Good place for family or friends to gather .

In my opinion; how good a sandwich place is mainly comes down to the quality of their bread. Only because the other ingredients are more or less the same.
And this place has delicious bread.
Trust me on this. Get whatever sub you want.. Then get one of their amazing soups.
The next thing I tell you is something you will use the rest of your life.
Dip your sandwich into the soup.

As far as Potbelly's sub shops go, this is one of the locations in the Northern Virginia area that I have visited more than once. It's clean, has the rustic interior decor that is customary to the chain as a whole, and the service is quick and timely. The food has always met my standards and the music played over the speakers is always fitting, you may even hear a song that isn't frequently played from time-to-time. If you're local and looking for an employment opportunity, walk in the door and take a moment to peruse the wall on the far left, when I say there is a job opp for everyone, I'm making a bit of an understatement, this is more than a sandwich shop, this is a physical community information hub where you can come in, eat and converse, and possibly find your next local 9 to 5 source of income. It's rare to see a restaurant like this these days and I'm glad they're around.
