This place has the best catfish and seafood in Alabama you'll ever eat and the service was great. Also, don't mind the nearby ducks; they're harmless and can be fed from a 25 cent machine.
My family ate there with friends after my son's high school baseball game. It was kinda late by the time we arrived with our large group, but the found seating for us really quickly. The food was great as always. The pickled onions are the best. I wish I got the name of our waitress because she was amazing. If u like fried catfish this is the place for u. Actually I've never tried anything here that wasn't good. I highly recommend if u are ever in Gadsden.
absolutely amazing! fast service for the amount of people dining at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Food was hot fresh and plentifully cooked to perfection. The wait person was congenital efficient and very attentive with a truthful smile that was not plastic or forced. prices were higher than expected but quality and quantity made up for price bringing down my statement of higher prices to reflect the value as a bargain
I highly recommend this establishment for a true American dining experience. Be sure to take your friend's you can thank me later
Food was Great, Corwyn our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, she made sure that we had everything we needed. However I would have rated a 5 star but we had a vegetarian with our party and there wasn't any options at all on the menu for vegetarians. Besides that it was a 4 star dinner.

Always clean inside and out. Large parking lot. Lots of seating when you walk in for if you have multiple people in your party and have to wait to be seated, or just have to wait to be seated. This place is ran like a fine tuned engine. Countless hostesses and servers. You will be seated immediately if party of four or less. Slaw and cornbread brought along with drinks automatically. Order will be on your table within minutes unless it is a large party or special order. Dessert is usually not offered to speed up the turnover of the tables. You will not see a messy table, they are bussed as you are sitting or immediately after you leave. You can be in and out in way less than a hour on a slow day.
Complimentary: Coleslaw/Cornbread
This is the only coleslaw that I eat. The cabbage is cut in small slices and not chopped and gritty, it has just enough sweetness to also compliment the cornbread.
River Boat Special
The fried catfish (5 pc) is slender filets in a light cornmeal batter seasoned just right and fried golden brown and crispy, soft and juicy on the inside. Comes with hush puppies, fries or baked potato. The fries are very light and taste like real potatoes, I like to dip them in ranch dressing ( homemade and wonderful)
We always do our birthday dinners here, then go to the Drive-in in Center Alabama. Top O' River never disappoints. Be sure to get the turnip greens with the appetizer.
My step son always picks here for his birthday and it's always delicious. I love the slaw and onions that arr served with every meal and we always get the greens to go with it. They are so good. Great service and great food. I highly recommend this place for sure.
