This was our first time trying this establishment. We had high hopes, especially for a BBQ restaurant in the south. Sigh- Daddy D need to let a cousin or other family member take over. The BBQ sauce, apple sauce, and collard greens were delicious. That's all folks!!!! The Mac and Cheese tasted like it was seasoned with water. The Brunswick stew...I have no words. ALL and I mean ALL the meats were so dry you would be better off eating peanut butter and saltine crackers. The hush puppies should have told us they were hard and dry and we wouldn't have ordered extra. If you choose to eat here, ask for extra sauce you will.need it. We weren't able to finish our meal, it was too much. We ordered pizza instead. I wish them well and hope they get better in the future.

Stop doing with my husband for a quick lunch date! The atmosphere is great gives a nice country Vibe very clean and well-kept. Our waitress Melanie was very friendly and gave fast service. We enjoyed the pulled pork barbecue, collard greens, baked beans, and a slice of turtle cake for dessert. We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Also they offer a 20% military discount so we're always greatful to the pro-military supporters!❤️

Was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I personally had the Mac Daddy which was more food than I could personally eat. But my party did agree the food was a bit bland. Similar places you only need a little sauce to compliment the flavor, but here I resorted to dipping my entire sandwich in sauce. The good news is that the sauces are great. But the flavor was definitely lacking. Also the Mac & Cheese & Coleslaw seemed 'plain'. One of the staples of any BBQ place is their sides. Here, the sides didn't taste homemade (Not that they advertise they are) and were nothing to write home about. Maybe I'm spoiled by other places having some downright delicious homemade sides. Regardless of the few flaws, I definitely can see myself going back here. The food was good for the price, and the sauces were great! Note: Inside is a 'sit-down, menu given at table' style restaurant. This caught me a bit off-guard as usually local BBQ shops are 'order at the register, and pickup when ready'. But this is more of a standard sit-down experience.

Huge portions! The bbq was good!!! Collard greens were not over cooked but just right and I love the sauces. Will definitely visit again when I’m in the area!

Found this place after our walk to Lanier Falls. Wings, ribs and beef brisket were good and the fried okra was awesome. Easy to find from hwy 55.

9/23/21 it was Phenomenal. Such a DELICIOUS spread. The food made an impact on my life! I keep thinking about the next time I’ll be in Fuquay again just to come here! They were speedy fast, understanding of our children and very helpful and accommodating. The hush puppies- oh man. There are just not enough of them! The way Daddy D’s makes them, I could eat an entire basket full. Heck I wish they served them the way Olive Garden serves breadsticks!! The smoked and fried to order method is finger licking good and I cannot wait to return with my family! Thank you for a spectacular meal.

Wanted to stop by to try this restaurant out, so i order take out. Sadly I wish that I had went else where for dinner. Rotisserie Chicken was well done, Mac & cheese had a lack of cheese and seasoning. Also the collard greens were not good and had large pieces of the stem still in them(see photos). Very disappointed in the quality of food. All the reviews on here seem good but it makes me think they are deleting the bad reviews. 🤷‍♂️

We just moved here from Wisconsin, so I was looking forward to some amazing BBQ and Daddy D's definitely delivers! I personally loved the Burnt Ends, as well as the Fried Green Tomatoes! Only thing that I felt could have been improved is the mac and cheese, definitely needs to be saucier, and the cole slaw could use more a vinegary kick. Will be back for sure!

We ate at Daddy D's BBQ last night for the first time. It was amazing! Everything was so good. The meats were so tender they melt in your mouth! The fried okra was the best we ever ate. You have to try the burnt ends! Yum-yum!! And dessert! Too many to pick just one so we ordered banana pudding and cinnamon roll cake! Oh my!! 😋 Will definitely be back to Daddy D's BBQ!!!

Food was good, our hubbies had the "burnt ends" they were great.... Cole slaw was a little off, seemed too much mayo not enough vinegar and sweetness. Like the celery seed in there, gives it more flavor...

My first time eating here was yesterday i ordered the 3 meat combo plate pork was good ribs were good brisket was good i did take out so i didn't know about the sauces next time will defiantly ask for sauce overall i enjoyed the food but i think next time i will be ordering a 1 meat plate just so i can have a bigger portion of that very good bbq oh and the baked beans are delicious CONTINUOUS SUCCESS

Had lunch today and wow. Lets start with the burnt ends and how in the world is anything that delicious. Pulled pork is the best I've ever had. Service great. Banana pudding wonderful. As a Midwesterner, this seems more like what I'm used to from the old days but also deep roots in NC type BBQ too. Amazingly good.

I had the brisket, pulled pork, collards & mac & cheese. Collards were some of the best I have ever had - Everything else was really good as well. So glad to have a great local choice in the Quay!

The pulled bbq was very good. The food was warm not hot and the mac and cheese could use much more cheese in my opinion as it was bland. Overall the staff was very nice and I understand they are just opening and I would expect some training time to get things spot on. We will definitely try again.

The Pulled pork was outstanding as were all the sides. Could smell the BBQ smoker before we even went inside! The peanut butter pie was to die for! Friendly service, clean and fast service! We’ll definitely be back!

Maybe a off nite from all the other reviews but DID NOT like it at all !! My family and our friends family went together and none of us will be back . Spent $63. just on my family and regret it! All of our sides were bland no taste at all - the bbq and brisket had no taste -the portions were small for the $. We expressed our thoughts to the waiter and he just looked at us and walked away. Did not offer to send the manager/owner over to talk with us . So I took that as if they did not care about our experience there and the thing is if it had been a good experience we would have ate there regularly.
