Review Brio Italian Grille - Frontenac

Service was okay. Our server was on her second day and didn’t really know much about the menu. Having never been there before coupled with her lack of menu knowledge, we were left to pretty much stay with familiar choices. My wife had Gorgonzola pasta with chicken and I had the Sausage Rigatoni. Both were good and came in a good portion size. Our server was good at checking on us throughout our meal for drinks and anything else we may have needed. Our booth was covered in black duct tape. There were definitely some spots that could use freshening up. Overall, we may come back if we’re in the area, but wouldn’t drive out of our way to stop in.

Our server Jake was phenomenal! He took care of our party of 13 with ease and detail. The food was excellent!!! The cheese cake was to die for 😋

Took my twin boys here for their 20th bday. The food was excellent, I had the dinner salad and Pasta Brio with chicken. Service was a bit slow due to no fault of the waiter. He was waiting a big section of restaurant on his own. No bussers or even the owners around to help.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere....We visited Brio for the first time 09-16-23 at 7pm that was our reservation time and the staff was ready and waiting for us and seated our party of 15 early! We had one server waiting on our whole party not going to lie I was worried a little because I know how some of us can be but I will say Brittany knocked it out of the park! She was very attentive and took very good care of us all! Hats off to the kitchen staff food was delicious! I would also like to thank the manager who was on duty that night sorry I forgot his name but He made sure we were all taken good care of! Thank you again Brio Italian Grille Great experience we will definitely be back!

Jasmine is the absolute best hostess I've ever seen, here great positive personality and she keeps everything easy and understanding. There is no other hostess I would ever like to have she's is the absolute best. She deserves a raise I personally think. Any place or business would be better with her apart of there team.

Food was excellent. Service pretty slow. Restaurant interior could use a refresh.

It was a pleasant experience, food was great. Jazmine was very friendly. I saw people coming in at closing time, but she didn’t turn them away. She gave us a fresh loaf of bread before we left because my daughters loved it.

Great Italian food. We were just passing through near the east side of St. Louis and a local friend highly recommended this restaurant. I had the lasagna, and although I thought the portion was on the smaller size, it was one of the best I've ever had - definitely in the top 5. Very nice atmosphere and ample table spacing. The menu was very large and there is something for everyone on it. Loved the fresh bread, too. I'd definitely go back if in the area.

Had dinner here the other day. The food was excellent! My Friend had the Gorgonzola Lamb Chops, which I tried. They were great. I had the Gorgonzola crusted beef tenderloins, they were cooked just like I ordered and melted in my mouth. The asparagus was great and the potatoes were okay. Our waitress was great as well. I don't do the fine dining much, but I may have to put Brios on my annual budget buster list!

Food was pretty good, a few things were a little bland. The Ceasar was excellent, waitress recommended pasta brio was just okay (compared to Coopers Hawk country rigatoni which is AMAZING) so I was a little disappointed. The lobster bisque was light tasting yet a thick soup...was expecting more taste, honestly, and they wouldn't let us upgrade to a bowl when we asked (I was grateful once it came and we tasted it). A couple other hiccups not worth mentioning, and overall, a good lunch experience. Parts of the restaurant are showing wear and lack of attn to detail...toilet seats are old/faded/chipped, and other noticeable details. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, would probably come back eventually to try happy hour.

We love this place, although it wasn't our 1st choice tht we rsvp for Love Day, but this spot here, U can't go wrong!! I had dinner with my girls & my grandson!! The food was great, friendly server; he was new tho! They didn't have a kids menu & my dessert cake for $10 was so dang small I had my server take tht back, but he made it right!!! They made whatever was wrong, right without any hesitation, great customer service!! It was a pleasure to be able to share time with those U Like for real!! The portion size is shrinking, every time I return...but the price is increasing for bland food; atmosphere is not worth eating bland food at high prices!!

Not sure why this place is always packed. It's like Olive Garden 2.0. Crowded, okay food, nothing special, very "chain" feeling. The one exception is the carpaccio, which is Fred Flinstone size and delicious. Rushed thru by server, who never brought us bread and cleared my plate before companion was finished (pet peeve). Go to The Hill, Trattoria Marcella, Pasteria, Mia Sorella, etc.

Overpriced Corporate Restaurant. St. Louis is replete with outstanding independently owned restaurants that serve authentic Italian cuisine at more affordable prices than what Brio charges. Moreover, you don't get haughty service from fine dining wannabes.

Save yourself some money by eating real Italian food at one of the restaurants located in The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis.

Good food, terrible service!. No drinks or water with the appetizer. The waitress made us feel like second rate customers, She didn't herself and never checked to see if everything was OK. I will never return! So disappointed!

Yes Sir!. I celebrated my birthday here...their accommodation for a party of 12 was top notch. The order came out timely and everything was great. Starter : Lobster and Crab Bisque...mmmmmm! I will have this with each meal going forward. The temperature of the soup was just right and the flavor outstanding. My Meal: Crab and Shrimp Cakes with crispy potatoes and veggies. I ordered the "2" vs "3" and the portion was just right because I had the soup and dessert. If your really hungry, get the "3". Everyone in my party loved their meal. I tried a little bit of my friend's lasagna and OMG...I must have that the next time I visit. I was a little jealous that I didn't order that. Love Brio!

Extra effort!. On 2/7/14 my wife and I were under a real time constraint and couldn't wait the 35 minutes for a table. We thanked the hostess and began to head out the door. Before we made it out the door, the manager asked if we would be willing to be seated at the counter near the open air kitchen. We agreed and were promptly seated. Our meals were excellent, service was great and it was interesting watching the efficiency with which the kitchen served meal after meal. The manager that night deserves a special thanks for his creativity and his willingness to go the extra mile for his customers, something that is too often overlooked. Job we'll done!

Nice dinner. My GF and I had dinner here before a movie recently. We just had salads, but the food and service was very good. We tried the chicken/strawberry salad, the Brio Salad, the Italian Wedding Soup and a couple of the small desserts. The atmosphere was nice, the place was clean and our server did a great job.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was so loud we could hardly hear each other.

Dang it. My memory of Brio in a different location a few years ago is very good. However, my experience here was very mediocre. Our waiter seemed very disinterested and our food was not bad, but far from great. At $15/plate, I expect better than Macaroni Grill quality.
Bottom line: Either my memory is skewed, this is a particularly bad Brio, or Brio as a whole has gone downhill. The quality of the food definitely does not match the highish prices. Avoid it!

Fantastic food and ambience. Brio combines mouth-wateringly good Italian food with an upscale but welcoming ambience to create a deeply satisfying dining experience. I've been here twice and was impressed on both occasions with the quality of the food and the efficiency and knowledgeability of the wait staff.

Although the restaurant has a tony feel, the prices are very reasonable (ranging from $16 to $28 for an entree). Most of the appetizers are sensibly priced, as well, with one exception. The bruschetta sampler is $15, which is high for an appetizer, but it's worth every penny. You get 2 each of 4 different kinds of bruschetta. All are delicious, but the sliced steak bruschetta is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Eat here with your significant other; it's a date night kind of place.

Is that a steak or a meatball?. Steak was only 2"x3". The waiter did nothing about it despite complaints. Hostess gave us brunch menus at 6pm

Won't eat here again. Brio would not accept a lunch reservation for a party of 15 at noon for fear that they may not be able to seat those tables at 11 00 and turn them over, which I doubt that the restaurant fills up at 11 00 Really bad business considering my family has been eating here since it opened and have spent a wad of money here. No more! The manaager didn't even take the time to talk to me. I called next door at Bricktops and they were very happy to take our reservation

We made a reservation on our anniversary to go here. The reservation was ready on time despite being very busy on a Friday night. Sarah was our waitress and she was excellent in providing great service. Definitly will go back again.

Love their happy hour deals! The Chorizo fondu is just awesome! Really enjoy the outdoor dining area.

Good Food & Great Service. Had a late lunch in the bar area on Saturday afternoon, (8/6). Derek was an attentive waiter/bartender. He was consistently leaving behind the bar and checking on the table, which I found to be great service. Very pleasant and great attitute. Enjoyable experience.
The shrimp and crab cakes were very tender with a great sauce. The roasted vegetables are always cooked to perfection. The addition of sweet peppers was nice added touch.

Mediocre food and Outdated Decor. Not impressed at all.

Lovely atmosphere with very good pasta dishes. Service was very good, and the desert sampler was a great way to finish off the evening.

Fantastic Brunch!!. I went there to have some brunch with my friends about a month ago, and I cannot forget the yummy foods and kind service! We chose four brunch menus, and all of them were just great! I'll definitely go there again.

It's Diabolically delicious. It's Pasta Fra Dablio!!!

Food is great as always this is THE place to be in St Louis.

Excellent Salmon. Wasn't a huge fan of Brio until I tried the Salmon, now I'm hooked on it. We've visted four times and the last three times I've enjoyed the salmon eventhough I keep saying I'm going toside something else.

3 words: PASTA FRA DIAVOLO. You'll never forget it.

I went with my wife the service was really fast I ordered the rissoto with butternut squash and chicken it was overcooked but the staff made every effort to fix it. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the speed of response I will absolutely return to this location. Crab and shrimp cakes tastes fresh! The salads are great!

Great restaurant!. Food is fabulous, service is always wonderful, atmosphere is beautiful. Only thing I can find wrong with Brio is that it is noisy.

Lovin Every Minute of It. I wish Hwy-40 would open back up so I could go here more often... right now, it's pretty much a no-go since we live downtown. But before the highway closed, we ate here 2-3 times per month. Beef carpaccio appetizer is the best in STL.

I was happy with my Chicken Under the Brick. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, it wasn't dried out and was still juicy and tender. The marsala wine sauce was sort of weak compared to other marsala sauces I've had, but it was still good.

Garganelli Carbonara - Wood Grilled Chicken, Crisp Bacon, Parmesan Cheese, and Sauteed Spinach. Jay and I both really enjoyed this selection - it was a generous serving with lots of tender, flavorful chicken. We especially liked that the sauce was very very light and not at all sticky or gacky as some white sauces can be.

One weekend. Two brunches, direct opposites in so many ways. And yet both totally satisfying. Local Harvest Café is on Morganford Road, the thriving main street of the thriving Tower Grove South neighborhood. (The café’s website says at least ha
