Harry's Alehouse

We found this place by accident after leaving another place off the interstate that was a bit overcrowded and loud for our taste. Craving a burger and looking the reviews we ended up at Harry's. I'm so glad we did!! Service was great and they were training a new person who did a wonderful job taking care of us. We had onion rings (best I've had in a long time), fried pickles, Whiskey burger, Royale burger, fries, etc. The burger were fantastic and rarely (no pun intended) do I get a medium rare burger actually cooked medium rare. Everything was fresh and juicy. To cap the experience there were two great things (in addition to the food and service): the walls are covered with dogs pictures (winner winner, we're dog lovers) and they had a bar with good scotches. I got a chuckle/ sneer (it was funny kind) when I asked for a cube v. neat. I actually appreciate they know it's a sin to do that :-) Super cool group. Thanks, we'll be back very soon.

Over the weekend was our first visit, surprised how long it's been open without knowing. My wife had the shrimp and grits and I had the fried chicken and waffles. My wife's dish was slightly salty for her taste but overall enjoy it and everything was cooked perfectly. I have to say my dish was the second best chicken and waffles I've ever had. I cannot wait to go back and try their other menu items especially the burgers! The staff was friendly and a manger made sure everything came out as it should but didn't disturb us while our mouth was filled. That's always a plus. I highly recommend this restaurant. Overall not an expensive restaurant we just had a lot especially since someone was babysitting. 😂😂

Me and hubby stopped here for a quick dinner and the place was very cute it’s like doggie themed with pictures of puppies everywhere. Unfortunately the food was basic. It wasn’t horrible but it’s also wasn’t amazing. I got the meatloaf with green beans and a side salad and hubby tired to do a burger in a lettuce wrap and a side salad but the couldn’t do that but told him the could do a burger salad which he was down for. But when he go it he said that it tasted as if the forgot to season the burger and the only thing that saved it was a spicy ranch sauce they gave him.

Good burgers and draught beers. Had the Guacamole burger substituted the patty with the black bean burger and was super extra tasty. More of an open space atmosphere with ample photos of local dogs (be sure to add yours). Nice big bar with 4+ big TVs. Bar is first come first serve if tables are full.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Good alternative to fast-food. The Penne Alfredo with grilled chicken was delicious. The traditional buffalo wIngs are a bit bland but meaty. They have a full bar and a good selection of seasonal beers. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I would recommend checking this place out if your in the Fredrickburg area.
