This is one of those hidden gems you hear about. We stopped on our way out to Hartwick Pines State Park after looking for a local "Mom & Pop" place or local favorite. They have great prices & have many specialty burgers & hoagie plus pizza & more. The reviews were all glowing too, so we decided to try it out. They did not disappoint. We're here at the very last weekend of the season, so the atmosphere was very laid back; maybe a dozen or so patrons. The Halloween decor was tastefully done, only adding to the beauty of the fall colors & the ambience of the place. I got the Philly Cheese Steak & asked for pickles instead of chips. Our waitress was a pickle dan as well so she gave me 8 spears at no extra charge. The hoagie was fantastic btw! My fiance got the 1/2 lb Swamp Burger with seasoned fries & a Coke. Our bill was only $25 & I only ate half my hoagie, so now I have donner too. Im only sorry we didn't catch our waitress' name, she was friendly & bubbly; she even credited me for the jukebox because I had spent $5 in credits only to realize the jukebox wasn't playing, it was another system being used. That was very cool of her to do since I only mentioned it to forewarn others. Needless to say, we would drive out of our way for good portions of great food, great prices & friendly atmosphere.
Myself and my friends do bike night there on Sunday from 5:00 to 10:00 everybody is very friendly and helpful the food is decent come and join us on
Couple trips there today. Like to hold these 5 stars for genuine place. The swamp II is that. Great food reasonable priced and a nice drink selection. Staff is awesome! Everything we had was delicious and probably more of a caliber of a higher end restaurant. They prepare their food very well and there’s plenty of it. Not in an obnoxious way but portions that one single human can eat all of it and feel full. Or even take a little to go.

We found this place during a girls weekend and it was just what we needed. Not fancy. Can be yourself. Our waitress Lynn was amazing. Can’t beat their drink prices.
Service was a bit slow but the sever was friendly and the food was great. I got a special ordered burger and it was delicious and they got my order right. Meat was high quality and the burger was cooked well and juicy. I would definitely eat there again
Great burgers and not from a boxs. Beer was cold. Waitress (I think Jamie) was on top of it but there was only few in at the time.

Breakfast buffet is great. Love the eggs, biscuits & gravy. Never had a bad meal here.
This is a bar/ restaurant in upper lower Michigan. The food was good and the staff was great. Has a bloody mary and it was mixed correctly, and had all the "dressings". The atmosphere was nice with music and TV's playing in the backround. I will be returning.
Had awesome time was granddaughters birthday. Was real busy but was worth the wait.

The service here was great and the food was even better! A large group (9) of us stopped here and our waitress, Jamie, along with some help from the bartender did an AWESOME job. The food was good and generously portioned. Highly recommended

Just moved up this way recently and heard they had new owners and a new breakfast buffet. The place was open and inviting, tables were not overcrowded. It's definitely been cleaned up since the last owners. It looks like they continue to improve.
Our server/owner was five stars amazing, patient, and genuine. The breakfast buffet was fresh and hot. Not a single complaint about food or quality. A great taste to everything. She took time to talk to us, listen to our feedback. She was awesome.
But I was completely taken back by the fresh fruit selection and even more surprised to be impressed by it, you really don't think much about it. I mean it was beautifully fresh, hand cut that morning. That takes pride, passion and love. Kudos to these new owners and the pride they show in their food and service. Will make this a regular place to visit ❤️
