Haywood Smokehouse

Great small-town bbq place with all of the charm that you'd hope for. I sat at the bar and the service was friendly, attentive and the food was out super fast. They accidentally gave me pulled pork instead of ribs so I was able to try both. The ribs were perfectly tender and the turkey was a pleasant surprise. I got burnt ends and they were a little dry, but still great flavor. Both the collard greens and green beans were solid and I would get them again. One thing that stood out was all of the different bbq sauces they have to try, which was fun.

We had the pleasure of having Haywood Smokehouse in Franklin as our wedding cocktail hour food and dinner food! And let me tell you, it was AMAZING. The mac and cheese is the best we have ever had, the BBQ food was incredible and the smoked chicken salad will change your life! It is also important to know that if you have to freeze leftovers... they still taste equally amazing as the day it was prepared! Everyone absolutely loved all our food and raved about it! Lisa, Justin and all of Haywoods staff was so great to work with! They helped tailor the menu perfectly and even included some Lebanese items for us! It was such an easy experience to work with them honestly, and we didn't feel worried at all, we trusted that they had everything handled! And they did!! We are from out of state so Lisa was a wealth of knowledge and was even able to help us get bartenders for our special day! She was a literal angel! We also went earlier in the week to eat at the restaurant again before our wedding and it was seriously the best food and service! Highly recommend eating here if you have the opportunity, you won't regret it! And if you are having a special event, their catering was perfection too! I had stopped in here with family after coming back from a fly-fishing trip all day and we wanted a place to dine in for dinner. We knew we had done every restaurant already but a BBQ establishment so decided this would be a good choice. Certainly was not disappointed. The food was excellent (I ordered the chopped pork platter with the mac & cheese + fries), the portions were plentiful and the value was unbeatable. Our server was very cheerful, quick and informative about the entrees. We also ordered the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan pie after the server offered it to us, and it was so good. If you are in the area and looking for a nice BBQ restaurant, look no further than one of the Haywood establishments throughout the area.

I ordered the dry rub ribs , fries and baked beans . My husband had the turkey , greens and Mc n cheese . Our highlights Ribs : flavorful , Smokey , tender and the rub is amazing ! Turkey : Smokey , flavorful , really juicy and soft Mc cheese : cheesy and lots of pepper and flavor ! Greens : OMG .. so much bacon flavor and tender . Not bitter ! Pecan pie - soo it was delicious but overpriced and a really small portion I would skip dessert

Good ribs, nicely smoked meat. Ribs were a little leaner than I like, but were tender. Husband had brisket that was melt in your mouth tender with excellent flavor. House sauce was a sweet red bbq sauce that was very good, but they also offer several other kinds of sauce, too. Beans with burnt ends were outstanding. Potato salad was good. Husband had seasoned fries, which were great - of course I had to do a taste test! Would give the food a four and a half if that was possible. Excellent service, friendly waitress who was very helpful with packaging up leftovers. I would recommend this restaurant.

My second time coming here. It's awesome, everything I've had has been delicious. The brisket and pork are both very good. Stew is also good. But the collards are worth the trip , and I'm coming from Georgia. Everyone was friendly and service was excellent. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I have my own off set smoker but today went with friends to Haywood's in Franklin NC. Had the brisket and I could not believe how good it was. Probably the best I've tasted. Perfect bark, tender and moist. Side of slaw and greens went perfect with it. Added to this was server Candice who was friendly and on her game ensuring we were happy with our selection. Prices were also in the ballpark for what we received. No doubt Haywood's will be our go to place in Franklin.
