I had dinner here with a friend several weeks ago. I was skeptical because the reviews I had read were kinda mixed. I'm so glad we went because our dinner was wonderful. It wasn't too crowded and the service was great. We started with the southern fried pimento cheese balls and they were to die for.
Wonderful relaxed upscale dining experience. Food was excellent. I had the lamb rack which was amazingly tender and rich in flavor with a fire sear on the outside. Potatoes were filling and smooth and the veggies added a palate refresh. Probably the best lamb I've had honestly. My friends had fill
I took my mom out on a girl's day, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. the weather was nice, so we chose the outdoor patio, which filled up while we were there. Our server, Mei, handled everything very well, and was very sweet. We ordered the pomegranate brussel sprouts appetizer, the fennel Caesa
Restaurant looks nice and spacious inside with covered corner outdoor seatings. Food is pretty good but vegetable used to garnish the dishes was not very fresh. Service was also very good although the waitress brought a wrong appetizer at first and then she offered to take off the appetizer from o
absolutely incredible experience. we went there on father's day and it was packed. but the staff was on top of it and we were quickly seated in the very nice outdoor patio. our server was great, and in spite of the rush we didn't want for anything. the food was... incredible. I had the grilled rack
I will say that this restaurant is exactly what it purports to be: a trendy pub-restaurant. The food was good, the service a little spotty once we decided to only have an appetizer, and the craft beer and cider selection was more limited than I thought when we walked in the door. Decor was well appo
Good local farm to table food, nice ambience, and friendly, helpful service! Especially recommend the pimento cheese appetizer... the short ribs entree is fantastic... and the carrot cake for dessert was delicious, moist, tasty - and the candied carrot chips area a delicious, crunchy touch. The sel
Delicious meal at a beautiful restaurant! Our waitress was incredibly attentive. I ordered the salmon dish and would eat that many times over! My husband had the lamb chops and they were tender and scrumptious.
This restaurant a winner. Small but nice menu. Prices are excellent. The restaurant is immaculate & saw they received an "A" on their recent health inspection. They have a full bar and numerous specials on various days of the week. I had their chicken salad with almonds, cranberries & celery. Not y
Great restaurant with a full bar. Seating area is spacious, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We especially liked the high backs on the booths for extra privacy. We had the fried pimento cheese appetizer and lunch salads. Both were very tasty. Sever was polite and efficient.
Food is always excellent here. We've never had a bad dish. It's one of the very few upper end restaurants here in Franklin. The only reason it didn't get a five star rating was the rudeness of the new (afternoon) hostess. Not sure what the issue was but it wasn't super busy for that kind of attitude
WOW! what a great place to stumble on. The drinks were great. Food was good as well. Chatted with some people who frequent the place and had great conversations. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try! And.....get the fried pickles!!!! Best I EVER had!!
Went to town to go to our regular restaurant when passing through but wasn't in the mood to wait and we put in restaurants in maps and this gem popped up. I had the half of Turkey and Brie Croissant and a half order of Waldorf Salad and the Caramel Macon Mule for lunch and it hit the spot. The mul
We went on a Friday night before the Ronnie Milsap concert. We quickly got our table. Service was good. Waiter was attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant. The only issue I had was it took a good long while to get our food which from reading the other reviews is a ongoing issue. And all we got was a chic
My two kids and I stopped in around 3pm for an appetizer and a drink. The hostess first took our temperatures, which we all were very appreciative of as an indication of their dedication to health and safety during the pandemic. When seated, we saw a small sign with a QR code to pull up the restaura
I’m glad we stopped here for lunch on our way to Bryson City. Love the decor inside, service was great and food was yummy. Good selection of beers on tap. May be little pricey but enjoyed our visit.
Last night we had an awesome experience at the Root and Barrel! We sat at the bar. The bartender, John, is a walking encyclopedia. His knowledge of this area is impressive! He also makes great drinks! We ate our way through the appetizers. Pimento Cheese Balls, then the Fried Green Tomatoes. Finishe
Wonderful restaurant. Came across reviews on OpenTable and decided to drive to Franklin to try it out, and they didn't disappoint. The service was amazing, the food was great. The "0ld Man" burger was delicious, juicy, and you could really taste the fresh burger patty with the crisp Bacon on it
