Star House Chinese Restaurant

They seem not to be able to track the orders they made. I made an order and got sick the next day with food poisoning. They do not know how to listen to their customer even when the customer is very calm and directly states what they want instead they argue back with the customer. If the customer makes a complaint politely, you should not argue with them. I am sick because of them, and instead of feeling empathy for me, he wants to yell on the phone. I find that so sickening, and wrong. Why would a customer just sit and make something like that up. This restaurant needs to check their morals. Up to now, anytime I eat, I have a huge stomach ache. I will never step foot in that restaurant ever again, because of the trauma they have cause me. I do not recommend this place at all; all they care about is their pockets. They are very selfish.

Food is pretty solid, nothing extraordinary. My stomach doesn't feel excellent after eating their stuff and I've had some not great bathroom experiences. I've been at this place maybe 5-6 times but I come home today to find there's a mosquito in my soup. My guess is the kitchen isn't very sanitary and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I will not be going there again. The rule of thumb seems to be: don't cheap out on your Chinese food.

I just ordered from here and it was so good I felt compelled to make a review. The man on the phone was very nice and helpful, as was the delivery driver! Great customer service all around. The price was amazing and the portions were crazy. Needless to say, we will only be ordering Chinese from Star House from now on!!

The food is very delicious. This restaurant has been my number one choice for 18 years. I recommend it. The people that work there is always very friendly always making sure you have what you need. If you go to eat in person they are very clean, also the place is decorated. In person or delivery the food is AMAZING!!!!! 😋😋

Last night was my first visit to Star House and I'm glad I went here on a whim. Got takeout. Everything was delicious and not greasy! I ordered my vegetable fried rice with special requests of omitting some ingredients and asking them to put in others. They made it perfect and it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back again!

Update 7/21/21: Since late in the lockdown they have gone down in quality. I don't know if its a different cook or what. Try again tonight and decided its time to look elsewhere. UPDATE 3/23/19: This restaurant just keeps getting better. They have the best wanton soup of any place. Very tasty Peking Raviolis. The House rice is packed with many 'goodies'. The scallion pancakes are the best: light and crispy. Been going here since they opened. Just went today and was surprised that the business is under new management. The food is not as good. Still good prices. Will miss the original owner who knew me by my first name. (2 Star rating originally) THE REVIEW ABOVE WAS FROM SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. UPDATE 3/30/17 After trying several other Chinese restaurants in the area for take out we were unable to find anything to our liking. I began reading Google reviews and ran across Star House. The recent reviews were pretty much positive so we decided to give it another try. Glad we did. Everything about the food has improved. The soup, egg rolls, scallion pancakes, rice, chicken wings were all very much improved, fresh and tasty. The Yang Chow rice was the biggest improvement but the ginger sauce for the pancakes was still too strong - just not right. I think we are back as regular customers.

The food and the price for what I got was pretty decent but the fact that we got chicken fingers and scallion pancakes and there was only a extra small size of duck sauce and no utensils at all. The parking is horrible but I don't believe it's their fault for that but I have a scion little box car and it was tight in the spot.

I ordered the chicken with pork fried rice combination and chicken lo mien to be delivered and they got it out surprisingly fast. When placing the order I forgot to ask for an extra side of sauce so I called in and asked if they could put it on my order. The driver had already left so the manager took it upon himself to drive it out here personally. The level of service I got was amazing... unfortunately, the food was not on par with the service. I spent close to $20 for this and can barely bring myself to eat it. I wish the food was better because these guys know how to treat a customer.
