Texas BBQ at its best! Get in the line and order your food THEN go pick out your table. Inside if too hot but definitely outside at the picnic tables in the evening. String lights and live music on a Saturday set the scene for the food to come! I got the 2 meat/2 sides option. Brisket, Bacon Burnt Ends, Hatch Chili Macaroni and Cheese and coleslaw. Turns out, that three full meals worth of food for me. 🤣 So good! Those Bacon Burnt Ends are HUGE and smoked to perfection. The brisket was a nice balance of fat to lean, super filling and satisfying. The Mac was good, creamy with a touch of pepper. Not too hot, perfect for me. The coleslaw is a purple cabbage and carrot variety. Good flavor and crunch, this slaw would be amazing served on top of a pulled pork sandwich! We also got the potato salad and the banana cream pudding. Both were delicious. Potato salad has some of the burnt ends and cheddar cheese in it. All the sides are served in a fairly large portion. We took home enough food for a whole other meal 😂 They do have a bar serving beer and wine, not sure about cocktails. Didn't see any. They have a person outside to sell additional beverages by the picnic tables. This is one of three locations and by far the most casual. Kids playing on the grass while adults sit at the picnic tables listening to music and chatting pleasantly. Great place to take the family!

Came after going to the Zoo on Black Friday. Menu was no clear on what can or can’t be on the meat plate. They were out of ribs anyway. I had the jalapeño and cheese sausage, burnt ends, Mac n cheese, and potato salad. My wife had a brisket sandwich and fries. We went around 5pm so it was quiet. Sausage was delicious and the burnt ends were to die for. The Mac was good and the potato salad was different but it was soooo good. Brisket sandwich was huge and it was fire. Fries are thinner - they were perfectly crisp and seasoned well. Even the ranch was good! I wish they had a spicy bbq but all in all - excellent. Will come back again if I’m in Ft. Worth.

Definitely some fine Texas craft BBQ... Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. It's really heavy but well worth it. Prices are a bit high but what you'd expect. The live music was nice and we enjoyed the dinner there.

I would give 20 stars if it were an option, and I'm rarely impressed enough to give 5! Cleanliness, atmosphere, service, and best of all; food quality... ALL PHENOMENAL! Heim's has just skyrocketed to the top of my list, with ease! The bacon burnt ends were perfect, but the brisket was next level! The whole experience was so great, in fact, that I called a foodie friend and insisted that he hurry this way while I wait! I'd suggest you hurry on down as well!

10/10 experience from the food, to the location, to the FUN outdoor areas. This is going to be our summer go-to! We had a party of 6 people and ordered a lot of food. Expo time was mere minutes with the quality of everything being top notch. The drinks from the back bar were great and made with care. Super kid friendly place and we loved getting a little tour of the smoke room. This place is cool and we are happy they opened up this location. 😍 THE BANANA PUDDING 😍 THE BURNT ENDS 😍 Can’t wait to be back!

It's Texas so I had to get the brisket, which was good, but the showstopper was the beef rib. The bacon burnt ends were solid but rich so I couldn't eat too many. The peppered beans were a nice side. I mostly work on my brisket but I've done ribs a few times and never like this.

Boy, howdy! The best BBQ place in Texas. Everything on the menu is uniquely fantastic and unlike any other place. They love the veterans and give a very generous discount....being seconds away from a military base, they are sacrificing a lot of profit to say thanks for our service members. Locally owned...support this business!

BBQ pork belly was amazing!!! Brisket wasn't over smoked, and mac&cheese/beans were on point. Sausage was ok. Great atmosphere. You will not come out smelling like smoke. Lol

1st time here!!!😄Found some Awesome PORK BELLY- $7.50 about 4 pieces. WOW!! SOOO GOOD, if you like the fatty, rich flavors! Yum!! The fries were also great 👍$4.25...thin and lightly salted!!

This was a great BBQ place. They have live music and a bar. The food was excellent. The brisket was one big piece and was so tender I cut it with a spoon. The potato salad was like eating a chopped, fully loaded baked potato. The Burnt Bacon ends are absolutely perfect. The burst with flavor. BBQ sauce was excellent. This is an excellent BBQ that stands out.

Such a great place to get out and spend time with your friends and family. The atmosphere is amazing and the back yard is a beautiful spot. Drinks, live music and food. My burger was a little sweeter than usual. I know the food industry has changed but I would rather avoid anything that’s sweet as a main dish. I would dessert if I need sweets. Other than that, my friends and I really enjoyed the place. It is good to have such great place in the neighborhood.

Stepped out the Jeep and the aroma from this joint made my tummy jump for joy. They had every thing accept turkey. I had the Chopped brisket sandwich, green chillie Mac and cheese, and Onion rings. The meat was juice and not dry. The rings were cooked in a fluffy batter. The Mac and cheese delicious 😋. This was my first time being there and I will definitely be back!!!!!

The brisket is top-notch every time. The green chili Mac and cheese is great. Jalapeño and cheese sausage isn't dry. Burnt ends are sweet and spicy. Pulled pork is lack luster in flavor but very moist and tender. Don't waste your time on their banana pudding, it taste very store bought and is very grainy in texture. The kids' menu states their meal comes with an ice cream, I have yet to be there when this has actually been available. Apparently, they have the same ice cream machines as McDonald's. This location has more seating and parking than the south of downtown location.

Food was delicious and service was friendly! Had a scrumptious lunch with friends at @heimbarbecue. From the brisket to the ribs, everything was delicious and juicy. The Jalepeno mac was okay, and the coslaw was tangy and on the vinegary side. I didn't mind it because it cut through the fatty meats well. Pulled pork was also smoky and tender, mouthwatering. ❤️My fav were the extra cripsy onion rings. It's probably the best I've had. The Blueberry Lavender cobbler recieved rave reviews from us as a perfect ending sweet treat. (My friend wants the recipe lol) 😋 💕 Definitely would recommend 👍🏻

I've been to both of their locations and this location wins in terms of seating and atmosphere. Very spacious indoor seating and a lovely outdoor patio. Unfortunately, when we arrived most of the tables were left dirty and uncleaned. The bathroom also has a strong sewage smell. The brisket was super juicy and delicious. The sides are okay, nothing special and fancy. I'd suggest ordering meat by the 1/2lb and splitting the sides with your party. Their BBQ sauce is really good.

Overall great experience however they were out of a few things and I was one of the first people in the door. Brisket was good but barely warm. Cheddar jalapeño sausage was solid. Definitely want to get back to try the burnt ends!

Brisket was cut a big too thick for my liking, but it all tasted really good. Very tender ribs that fall from the bone. Absolute highlight were the bacon burnt ends - they actually melt in your mouth and were sooo delicious. Just a heads-up: if you get potato salad as a side, it will be an actual mountain of potato salad. Coleslaw is a little on the vinegary side.
