Review Hashi Japanese Kitchen - Fort Worth

Amanda Bradley
First time trying Hashi Japanese Kitchen and was excited to try their Takoyaki. We first had these fried octopus dough balls in SanFran’s Japantown and have been looking for them local ever since. These were a very good version. Even though they are much smaller, the ratio of dough to octopus was good and they were not overcooked. Definitely will be back for the Takoyaki. Seaweed salad was very refreshing and just the right amount of sesame. We just had appetizers this time, but we already have on our list to return.

Super cute, and clean dining room! Very comfortable. Service was great, and prompt. I got sushi, the rice was perfect, and the fish was high quality. It was super fresh, and delicious. My boyfriend ordered hibachi, and loved it. The meat was cooked perfectly, rice/veggies were delicious. We came on a Saturday night, had no trouble getting seated, or getting our food. Highly recommend.

I’m a driver for door dad and I get sent here so much I finally had to try the food. First off the manager is always so nice when I come in. We ordered the hibachi chicken with rice and the hibachi steak with noodles. Both were extremely good. The meat was tender and juicy and everything was very flavorful. I also tried the yum yum sauce which was incredible. The food was on par with much more expensive places so I am glad I found this. I can’t wait to try so much more stuff on the menu.

It a nice and chill spot. Menu is not too big and food was good. They have Japanese drinks like calpico. You order first at the counter and then they will bring the food out. So no waiters or waitresses.

I've always ordered through Uber eats but the ambient is very positive, little Japan on Camp Bowie

I love freshly made sushi; it's not a secret in my household. I tend to love many things about Japan, particularly their approach to cuisine (and maintaining their heritage and traditions for that matter) that has been lost to most of the rest of the world in the last 50 or so years. Quality food, presentation, order and cleanliness, flavor, etc., so I have a certain expectation for a place titled Japanese Kitchen. This was our first visit on a father-daughter day that is quite rare in itself, no less having an agreeable new place to try for lunch. I was not disappointed, and neither was my young daughter who's a notoriously picky eater. I had the King Kong Roll, she the California Roll, and we supplemented with an order of fried calamari (it unabashedly says squid on the menu, yay!), and we finished with two Mochi ice creams. Flavor and presentation were amazing, full of flourish that I was hoping to see, and the service was excellent. They seem to get a decent lunch crowd but are quick and efficient, as one might expect. And honestly for the quality, you'd be hard-pressed to get a better deal on freshly made sushi anywhere in town for the same price. We will return repeatedly for as long as they are open, and we'll certainly help maintain that as best we can! Update: visit #2 with the daughter is in the books, and another specialty roll marked on our 'to try' list! ❤ After the amazing experience with the King Kong roll, my daughter tried and demolished that one while I savored the Hashi roll. Equally delicious with balanced sea-inspired ingredients, but it must be said that The King has set a benchmark not yet surpassed. 😋

Love this place. The owner is so sweet! Excellent customer service, cute atmosphere, the food is delicious and comes out really quickly. Good place to go with young kids.

All of the food was freshly made and very tasty. It was a smaller storefront restaurant that is family owned. Everyone was very friendly and again, the food was wonderful. Thank you. We will be back.

I have to say that my family loves the food and we eat here often. BUT…I will say this nicely…the guy who answers the phone and works the cash register is EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly. Customer service goes a looong way and this guy should really find another job where he doesn't have to deal with people or he needs to work on his customer service skills. We will keep coming here but this guy really needs to learn how to be a people person.

Amazing food!! Was absolutely delicious 🤤. The preparation time was efficient and maintained the highest quality of taste. Menu contains a variety of options whether you're looking for a light snack or full course. The seafood is high quality.

This place is so good! We've had teriyaki chicken with noodles, steak and chicken hibachi with noodles and tofu hibachi with noodles. We've also tried the Phoenix roll and the ebi ebi roll and they were both excellent as well. We enjoy coming here for family night out. The staff is super nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Took my daughter here yesterday for an early birthday lunch. Their takoyaki and teriyaki bowl were delicious! The edamame was edamame. The sushi was what you'd expect from the more fast-foodish type of restaurant that they seem to be; mediocre, but not bad. Their sushi rice lacks rice vinegar, so that detracts from the flavor you expect to find in good sushi. You are able to dine-in, but it isn't a "sit down" restaurant experience. Everything is just brought out as it's ready. No pacing or course order. (Not a bad thing if you're looking for something quick though!) The one staff member that we saw/interacted with was very pleasant and the establishment was clean and welcoming. Overall, not a bad first-time experience.

Wonderful food and amazing service! The portions were great for the price, as well.

Food is always good here. The guy at the counter is a bit jerky to female customers from my experience, but he doesn't make errors either.
